Magma Resort Santorini

Absolutely fantastic stay. Room 208. With swim up pool.. fantastic views. Amazing facilities the bed linen simply divine. Sara, greeted us and from that moment couldn’t do enough, from arranging scooter hire to a clean towel she sorted it for us. Food amazing, breakfast delightful staff friendly and helpful. Just the best resort we have stayed out for a long time. And we have been all around the world. This has to be one of the best. Keep up the good work.

Having been in the travel business for over 40 years I have never stayed at a hotel with the most outstanding customer service , friendly and welcoming staff. Every single staff member greets you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble . They have a whatapps service where they respond to your query in seconds. The rooms are spacious , modern and spotlessly clean , the plunge pool is cleaned every day , new pool towels daily if required . I don’t usually enjoy a buffet breakfast , but I was happy to see such healthy options on offer, and they make your coffee fresh , so none of those tacky coffee machines in sight. And another massive bonus - it’s open until 11!! We had lunch and dinner and the food was delicious , Hubbie said the sea bass was one of the best he had and the desserts were amazing . The main infinity pool was never busy and they don’t allow reserving of beds which is fantastic and we got a bed every day in the sun without fail . The bar staff are great and cocktails fabulous . Location - 2 mini markets within 10 minutes walk and a local restaurant called Aidani is superb - we went twice! They have a free shuttle bus to Fira town and to Yalos beach club daily which takes only 10 minutes , so even though the hotel is on a quiet area it’s easily accessible to the town. I cannot praise this hotel enough , I have already recommended to my friends and will be sure to recommend to my travel peers also . You can tell the staff like working here as it’s displayed in their attitude and it’s an absolute credit to this hotel and its staff. If I could give this hotel a 10 star rating I would ! Never have I ever been so blown away that I needed to share!

This resort was undoubtably a disappointment. From the odd check in experience to the poor restaurant experience to the concierge telling us to leave 2 hours early to catch a ferry that took 15 minutes to get to. We had high hopes when we arrived as the resort is picturesque. We got to our sweet which we had reserved for us and our 2 children realizing that the 4th bed was sheets over the couch. It was odd that the normal rooms have a pool and the suites only have a hot tub. The first breakfast was unpleasant especially as a globalist member. We sat ourselves and were never offered any service. I finally tracked down a waitress and had to ask for coffee to be sent to our table. We were never asked for refills or an other beverage service. The restaurant at the resort we went to for lunch and the waiter said they were preparing for lunch even though it was noon. We all ordered Gyros and they were all cold. The spa experience was mediocre as the massage was weak and I think the masseuse was on the phone texting during my massage. The most odd experience was one night around 11 we came back to the hotel from the town Fira, which is surprisingly far, with dessert. We sat at one of the low top tables by the bar and we were all alone with the bar tender. He said we are not allowed to bring in outside food . I said it was just dessert and we wanted to order drinks and he said they would not allow it. We ended up having to eat in our room and promptly left the bar. This place is just not up to par in so many ways.

We stayed at Magma for our wedding weeek and from start to finish it was a dream. The hospitality from the staff are second to none. The rooms are beautiful. There was around 20 of us and everyone had an amazing time. Some people in our group even extended their trip but they loved the hotel so much. We had a beautiful welcome party at the resort. They saved the day after our original venue failed us. They managed to pull a buffet together in an hour! Special thank you to Sara, Ellie, Thanos and Christina ( F & B) for making my wedding week so special. You are all amazing and Magma is so lucky to have you.

We Loved Magma!!! I had the pleasure of staying at Magma Resort Santorini for my best friends wedding, and honestly, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the reception team made us feel incredibly welcome, making check-in smooth and offering great recommendations throughout our stay, of the best sites to see, restaurants and bars. A special shoutout to Ellie at the front desk her warm welcome and ongoing care made a huge difference. The breakfast team was also amazing, and so kind it really set the tone for the day. The bar staff also created fantastic drinks and brought such great energy to the evenings, especially during the Bride & Grooms welcome party. A massive thank you to Kristina for her impeccable hospitality and support during my best friend’s wedding week. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless and stress-free. All the staff at Magma were wonderful. Magma Resort Santorini exceeded all expectations, and I genuinely can't wait to return. ☺️
