Mahagiri Villa Sanur

I spent a lot of time selecting this accommodation as it was the start of celebrations for my 70th birthday. We have stayed in some lovely places in Bali but Mahagiri surpasses them. I will objectively set out why. The villas are first class. Well maintained. The private pool was clean. Lovely marble and natural stone surround and surfacing. The entrance and doorway to the garden pool were constructed of volcanic blocks which gives it a lovely natural and historic feel. The bed super king was huge and so comfortable. The most important asset is the staff. All delightful and respectful. I won’t single out individuals as I would be sure to miss someone. But from the gardeners to the manager Gusti there is a very clear effort to support the guests and ensure they have a fantastic experience. The restaurant is beautiful. The menu is exceptional and such great value for money. Everything was always freshly cooked. The gardens are spectacular, colourful and lush like walking through a controlled jungle. Someone’s leisure of love. Free shuttle bus is available to take you into and collect from Sanur. We spent five night prior to picking up a cruise ship to visit SE Asia. A perfect start to our extended holiday. Thank you to everyone. We will highly recommend you all and hopefully be back.

Beautiful gardens, spacious villa lovely people and helpful. Great spot in older area with locals, warungs and night markets. Clean older style, little expensive but we still enjoyed the Villa.

We stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom villa. The villa was very private and spacious - perfect for the 3 of us. The villa is in 3 separate sections - kitchen and living area, master suite and 2nd bedroom/bathroom. The outdoor space is beautiful with a large pool, day bed, sun lounges, outdoor shower and beautiful gardens. The master suite is huge with separate dressing area and a massive bathroom complete with outdoor shower set in a lush tropical garden. The complex has a good restaurant and spa and they offer free transport within the Sanur area which is very convenient. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included with an incredible range of options to suit every taste. We enjoyed the fresh seafood BBQ dinner which is every Monday night. We had massages at the Mahagiri spa and they were very good. There is a laundry just opposite the villas where you can get clothes laundered for only 25,000 Rp per kg with a 6 hour turn around. The only disappointment we had was when requesting a transfer to the airport at the end of our stay. We had read a few reviews that reported these were complimentary, however when we asked we were told it would cost 450,000 rupiah.
