Maison Aurelia Sanur, Bali - by Preference

We stayed at Maison Aurelia Sanur for one night as a family of five—two adults, our young children (ages 5 and 3), and our nanny. We booked the Magnolia Suite, which consists of two connecting rooms with a separate living room in the middle. The layout was perfect and very convenient for traveling with kids and a nanny. During our stay, one of our children fell sick and accidentally threw up in the elevator. The staff handled the situation with such kindness and professionalism—no frustration at all, just warm smiles and quick action. We truly appreciated their understanding and hospitality. Maison Aurelia is a charming boutique hotel with a cozy atmosphere. There's a pool on the lobby level and an on-site restaurant, CORK, which is highly rated. While we didn’t try the buffet breakfast, we did order a few simple dishes from CORK. The food was just okay for us—perhaps we need to try their lunch or dinner menu next time to better understand the rave reviews. The room was a good size for our family (54 sqm), clean, and very comfortable. While it’s not beachfront, the hotel is located on one of Sanur’s main streets, with lots of restaurants, cafes, a pharmacy, and convenience stores within easy walking distance. Popular spots like Massimo Italian Restaurant and Pescado are also nearby. Sanur’s public beach is accessible on foot or by using the hotel’s free bike rental, and it’s lovely to explore the beachside cafes and restaurants along the promenade. Overall, we really loved our stay. The room might not have been the largest of our Bali trip, but the comfort, design, and service made it one of our favorites. We would definitely consider staying at Maison Aurelia again when visiting Sanur.

I only stayed here for one night, but I wish I had chosen this hotel over Karmagali Suites. The rooms are spacious, the service is exceptional, and the location is perfect for a relaxing getaway. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you to the wonderful team for making my very short stay so enjoyable.

Our family of four stayed in the Magnolia Suite. Every detail in this boutique hotel was well thought out, including the art, design of rooms and amenities. The beds and linen were super comfortable and we appreciated the special touches throughout the suite. The AC is also very strong which is a bonus for relief from the heat. The pool and spa area is lovely. We enjoyed the double day beds, lemon infused water and games and books that are provided. The staff was always welcoming and lovely. The location is great with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. We enjoyed lunch at Warung Old Brick, dinner at Nori Sushi and breakfast at Bread Basket Bakery. All in walking distance of the hotel. We would definitely stay again if we return to Sanur.

Checked in for 6 nights without breakfast. Our huge suite was so quiet (Room 214) and had excellent a/c. The bed was super comfortable and linen and towels were always fresh. French inspired decor and lovely little touches. The spa had amazing priced treatments, so booked in for 90 min massage. The pool was lovely and refreshing and sun was gone by 12pm which was just enough to sit by pool. We did not include breakfast as we wanted to walk each morning along beach path to find little cafes. Highly recommend Akaya Cafe, BatuJimbar across road for amazing coffee and Maya Hotel Happy Hour starting at 5pm and 50% off sushi at their Japanese restaurant, Kuu. Maison staff were always so polite and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again as price was so reasonable.

If you are looking for a boutique hotel right in the middle of Sanur with immaculate rooms, personalised service & fantastic food then look no further. Better still the pricing is very reasonable. We have been meaning to stay here for a while now having checked the place out previously and seen the rooms. We finally made it happen last week ((September’24). Whilst it’s not beachfront it’s just a stones thrown via a lane way across the street. We had a wonderful 4 days there … we should have stayed longer. The downside of a place like this is the it made our next hotel look very poor in comparison. If you are looking for a massage then don’t bother walking up the street to find something do it onsite … and not at ridiculous resort prices. Here a 1 hour massage was 215,000 to (just over $20 AUD) in a pristine environment. If you are looking for a meal or drink any time of day (plus a great breakfast) don’t miss ‘The Cork’ which is part of Maison. It’s a French/Balinese themed placed with a great drinks & wine list and the best Nasi Goreng I’ve had in Bali over the last 30 years we’ve been coming. Special thanks to Ari in the hotel & Ayu & Sri in The Cork. In short - we will return and will recommend to friends in a heartbeat ! PS - the food & restaurant service is so good we’ll be going back later in our 1 month trip. See you soon Ayu & Sri !!
