I wanted to offer some factual information about this hotel, as before I arrived I was concerned by the number of negative and parsimonious comments I had read on Tripadvisor. Having stayed here, I now view most of those reviews as either malicious or written by people with unrealistic expectations of this type of holiday. My stay was in mid-September, towards the end of the season. This is a low-cost, all-inclusive hotel and you get what you pay for. I would not place it alongside other four-star hotels, but the meals were more than edible. There was a wide selection of hot and cold dishes offered on a buffet service. Admittedly, it was not fancy and could become a little repetitive, but right outside the hotel there are countless restaurants at all price points. That said, it is entirely possible to eat all three meals here without feeling deprived. The hotel was clean. Staff were out sweeping and tidying the public areas early each morning, and bedrooms were serviced daily with fresh towels and sheets. While some bathrooms may have small maintenance issues, such as a broken hook for the shower head, the water pressure was good and my bathroom was both clean and functional. I dined out on a few occasions and enjoyed excellent meals, with wine, for around €40. My recommendations are Greco, SeaSide, and Filoxenia, all of which offered great seafood, warm hospitality, and complimentary desserts or digestifs at the end of the meal. The bar at the hotel runs throughout the day, serving free lager, four cocktails on tap, and a small selection of inexpensive spirits. This contributes to a lively atmosphere that sometimes drifts into boisterous behaviour later in the afternoon and evening. As expected in a resort like this, there were occasional issues with people reserving sunbeds, but I never failed to find one when I wanted to. Given the heat, at nearly 29 degrees, it was difficult to stay in direct sun all day anyway. I was grateful for the aircon. The clientele were a varied mix. There were younger guests in their twenties looking to party, older working-class holidaymakers from across Europe seeking sunshine on a budget, and a smaller number of families, fortunately, I stayed after the school holidays had ended. Noise was perhaps the most frustrating aspect, with sound carrying from the pool area or along the corridors, particularly in the early hours of the morning after the clubs closed. A lack of consideration from some guests was irritating at times. However, this is a very large hotel situated directly on the main party street. If peace and quiet is a priority, then a different location may be more suitable.
