Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive Reso

We just returned from our vacation at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao. The staff are what make this resort a 5-star resort. The resort itself is dated, made especially for families with children. We typically stay at adults only resorts, this resort was not what we were use to. For families with children it is a definite plus. They have huge water slides with a water park, and definitely cater to children. The staff are absolutely wonderful. I will start with the pool bar/swing bar as the staff generally work both. Estella, Milangela, Chunalies, Yadon, Gohana, Dayo, everyone, all work very hard. They are very hospitable, friendly, and always serve with a smile. We enjoyed seeing them and talking with them every day. The restaurants were all good. We ate breakfast at the buffet restaurant which always had most anything you could want for breakfast. The food was good, not much staff though. The seafood restaurant was our favorite. Again the staff, one in particular were absolutely fantastic. Carella was charming, very friendly, always making sure every table had everything they needed, worked very hard, and was always busy. The Italian restaurant was good, our server on one occasion was Mert, who was very nice, worked very hard, and always made sure our drinks were full and we didn’t need anything. We ate at the BBQ restaurant which as ok, not one of my favorite and never had the opportunity to eat at the Mexican. We visited the coffee bar every morning and Lucheinie and Ece who were always there working hard, who were also very nice and hospitable. Ashley at the front desk helped us many times, and was always charming, helpful and friendly. The things that need improvement are the reservation process for dinner reservations. You can make them on line through their app, when the internet works (which was very sporadic) or at the desk after 10 am. You need to get their early as there is always a line and you may or may not get the restaurant or the time you desire. Really horrible process. The housekeeping is also not very good, we had to request additional towels, the bed was never changed as it had sand in it every night, the service was very lacking. They also seemed to monopolize the elevators, of which there were only 2 available, during the morning hours. The beach is very pretty, and all of the staff exceeds 5-star. It is very near the shopping district of the city, only a short walk, which we did a walk there 3 times. Overall it is a nice resort.

Where do I even begin , my wife and I took our time when selecting this hotel after reading several reviews and doing our personal research we chose here and boy oh boy we were not disappointed. As we pulled up to the crowded front desk, we were abit nervous by the amount of persons we saw but that was soon put to rest by Josephine who dealt with us so eloquently and professional we were well informed of all the amenities were being afforded to and before we could blink we were greeted by Devi ( hope i got his name right ) who gave us cold towels for the heat ( Curacao heat is no joke ) and the blessed us all with a magnificent welcome drink signalling the start of our stay. We checked into our clean rooms on the first floor greeted with our wellstocked mini fridge n a snack plate ... We got several letters about what to expect during our stay n wasted no time in getting downstairs n heading to the main pool n the snack bar. All I mean all the bartenders were very friendly n attentive, made all our drinks to perfection ..they handled themselves well in crowded situations never once felt ignored. The food my goodness excellent, excellent. Didn't taste one bad meal, we went to two restaurants cor & don n Maya ... Perfection ... We had reservations for particular times n had them changed with ease no hasle, the water park on point , n as I said the friendly staff was there at every turn to assist me with anything I desired, they were the best , Corendon you owe me nothing, I'm still basking about my experience n would definitely be back. Not Up to Hilton Standards – Disappointed We stayed at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao (Curio by Hilton) and were very disappointed. We’ve reached out to Hilton Guest Relations multiple times since our stay — and have been ignored. 1. **Unequal Amenity Access** Guests from the neighboring sister resort were given full access to Mangrove's amenities, but we were not granted access to theirs. This one-sided arrangement felt unfair and disappointing. 2. **Elevator Problems** Only one service elevator was operational for a resort with over 1,000 guests. We were on the 6th floor, and the elevator situation was a daily headache — long waits, overcrowding, and a clear lack of infrastructure support. 3. **Cleanliness Concerns** Upon check-in, we found a *closed condom package under one of the beds*. This was shocking and unacceptable. It’s a clear sign that housekeeping did not thoroughly clean the room. 4. **Unfriendly Housekeeping Staff** On multiple occasions, housekeeping staff seemed visibly annoyed when we were present during their visits. We felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being in our own rooms. 5. **Poor Dining Schedule** No hot food was available between 5 PM and 7 PM — a baffling gap for an all-inclusive resort. We often had to delay meals or cancel evening plans due to this limitation. 6. **Restaurant Reservation Hassle** To book a restaurant, guests had to queue up by 9:30 AM for reservations that didn’t open until 10:00 AM — every day. This outdated system wasted our mornings and added stress to what should have been a relaxing stay. 7. **Missing Hilton Honors Points** Despite traveling with four people under the same reservation, only one of us received Hilton Honors points. We've reached out to correct this but haven’t received a reply. 8. **Unfulfilled Spa Appointments** Two members of our group tried to book massages and were told paperwork would follow — but it never came. No appointments were confirmed, and no follow-up happened. 9. **Uncomfortable Beach** The beach, while visually beautiful, was extremely rocky and painful to walk on. It wasn’t the relaxing beach experience we had hoped for. 10. **Insufficient Drinking Water** Each room (with two guests) was only given *three* bottles of water — barely enough in a hot, tropical climate. With limited elevator access and water only available on the ground floor, staying hydrated became a daily challenge. 11. **Inconsistent Towel Service** Several of our rooms were not regularly replenished with clean towels, requiring repeated calls and delays — again, a basic expectation that was not met. Taken individually, some of these issues might be manageable. But combined, they paint a picture of a poorly managed property that fails to live up to the Hilton name. Our group expected more. The location is beautiful, but the experience didn’t match Hilton’s usual standards. We hope the resort addresses these issues moving forward. I have been in touch with Hilton guest services team who offered one person out of our party of 4 a night refund. We’re sharing this publicly in hopes that the property and Hilton take steps to improve — and that other travelers are aware of what to expect.
