Marmaris Bay Resort

Value for money you cant complain. This is definitely one of the nicer hotels in Marmaris. Only a short and inexpensive trip around 20 minutes to get to the town. The staff here are all friendly and can easily build a repport with them. A special thank you to Abdurrahman for being always bring a smile to our faces, what a kind and funny man! The main cons to the hotel is the expensive à la carte restaurant for £35 a person and also the lack of cocktails at all the bars apart from main pool and beech cocktail bar. Having 1 cocktail on the menu really isnt that great. Apart from that amazing views and a lovely get away for 7 days!

Mr Abdurrahman, was very attentive and helpful as well as being the most friendly waiter for our holiday. Good hotel, beach was nice. Entertainment was first class.

The resort is in an idyllic location. Peaceful, immersed in lush green vegetation and spacious the guest accommodation is spread up the mountain side mainly away from the evening entertainment. The downside of this is the climb up to the chalets which are spread over four/ five levels we were on the fourth level which meant we had to climb 124 steps and various slopes probably not too bad in the cooler UK but a killer in 35c heat. I’m told there are five buggies available to take you to your room we only ever see two and so they are constantly in demand. The food in the main restaurant is a help yourself buffet morning lunchtime and evening and can get very busy but not a problem for us. I liked the variety of dishes and enjoyed trying food I wouldn’t normally eat. Everything was fresh and spotless. The waiters are truly wonderful hard working and very friendly they made our stay special I would’ve marked our stay lower if it hadn’t been for the quality of the staff. Beriton and Jiyan wouldn’t be out of place in London’s finest hotels they were that good. We never stayed by the pool’s always by the sea which was far more spacious and cooler there is a couple of private sandy beaches and lots of shaded places to sit along walkways between them there are beach bars and a nice seafood restaurant that sits on a jetty on the water we ate there and can recommend it the staff once again made our wedding anniversary evening special adding flowers to our table and congratulating us on our arrival. The beachside restaurant is excellent the staff once again friendly and helpful a special mention of Serkan who would have a beer waiting as he see us arriving So the niggles, it is definitely not five star, the resort is tatty. The rooms are very clean but dated. The transfers to the resort can take two hours we were dropped outside a shop at 2:30 in the morning to be collected by a taxi to complete the journey to the resort which we wasn’t told about so I strongly recommend pay the money and arrange private transfers.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Marmaris Bay resort hotel. It’s a lovely setting - a botanical garden setting with private beaches in the Bay Area, with exceptional staff, who provided excellent friendly service, which made our holiday an absolute pleasure. Special shout outs go to: Münire, Enes Yilmaz, and Caner in the main restaurant. They always provided fantastic and friendly service with a lovely smile. And a shout out goes to Abu - our bar waiter in the Sea Salt Bar. He was energetic, always smiling, and provided great table service with the cocktails. Thank you to the team at Marmaris Bay resort. You a lovely 5 star hotel, and some wonderful, hard working, friendly staff.

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at the Marmaris Bay Resort. Everything was top quality just as other reviewers have said. Our room (507) had a ‘limited’ sea view but it was much better than I expected and the view was only broken by the branch of a pine tree. The balcony was lovely and a great place for our morning cuppa. The room was spotless with a great shower and plenty of storage space. Other guests had mentioned having to share a balcony with the room next door but ours was private. We did have over 130 steps to climb to the room (which did not get easier as the week went on !!) but we only succumbed once to a lift on the golf buggies. We spent most of the time on the quiet beach and were always able to find a bed and the shade from the trees was most welcome. We found the main pool too noisy and busy, the relax pool also got very busy but there were lots of areas where you could sunbathe where beds were available all day. The food in the main restaurant was excellent quality, especially the Turkish dishes which we sought out daily. The selection was huge and catered for all tastes. We had a couple of snack meals in the SeaSalt Bar which were nice and we had our a la carte meal in the SeaSalt Restaurant which was beautiful (apart from the dessert - tahini creme brûlée !! - defiantly an acquired taste !!). We had all our meals outside on the verandah or the terrace (which was lovely in the evenings) and our waiters for the week were Okan and Salih - both were efficient and polite and fine ambassadors for the resort, they looked after us so well. Pre and post dinner cocktails and drinks in the SeaSalt Bar were excellent quality and our cocktail waitress Basak was a real star, she and all her colleagues worked so hard. The evening entertainment was pretty good with a couple of dance shows and live music, The Drifters on Sunday evenings were amazing and by far the best, they really got the audience moving. We did the 90 min jet boat tour which we can highly recommend, took the water taxi to Marmaris Town and had a couple of massages - all helping to make our week very relaxing. Overall we thought everything about the resort was 5 star and really liked the layout which was very sympathetically done and blended into the hillside beautifully, in fact when you look at it from the sea its hard to believe the hotel is actually there.
