Marriott's Harbour Lake

What a terrific property for families with younger kids. Well-maintained with very friendly staff, Marriott's Harbour Lake fit the bill perfectly for our family. We have two young kids (boys aged 3 and 6) and we could not have asked for more as an alternative to staying at a similar "theme park villa". We stayed 6 nights as a renter and not an owner. We also checked in later at night which was not an issue. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly, recognized my Platinum Status with Marriott, and even offered me late checkout at Noon before I had a chance to ask. Parking was never an issue even late at night returning from the park(s) or other destination. Our room was super-clean and housekeeping came every other day, which was more than sufficient. The kitchen was well equipped and we did not even have to buy extra paper towels or coffee filters. The staff there made sure you have everything. Our room was modern and likely recently renovated. The outdoor patio with screen was very nice to have, especially in the mornings while having breakfast/coffee. Both pools were perfect size, and extra pool towels were plentiful. There were also a lot of activities for the kids. You can easily choose to have a "resort day" on-property and your kids will not get bored. Gatorland came one day and even brought a small alligator the kids could take pictures with! They have daily entertainment at midday and in the evening at the pool. One night even resembled a Hawaiian luau. The fitness center is well-maintained and modern. The food / drink options were sufficient and reasonably/appropriately priced for a timeshare format property such as this. The resort is also very walkable which we found very convenient with our kids! Their location is a bit secluded, but for us ideal, just off the highway from International Drive near to the Convention Center and Sea World. Both Disney and Universal are short drives. Plenty of shopping / grocery stores nearby to help stock the ktichen, but I advise scouting that out in advance. The CVS nearby was also one-stop economical shopping for Disney shirts / souvenirs. The airport is also within about 20 minutes. We give our stay 5 stars. The property presents a huge value proposition for families with little kids, especially as an alternative to villa-style accommodations at the local theme parks. Very highly likely we will return with our family!

This place is like a summer camp for kids. If you're traveling with kids, they'll love it. Lots of activities, organized games, etc. I caught a group of kids in the rec center playing Uno with one of the staff, and having a great time. There are kid-friendly contests at the pool, cornhole, a soccer field and they played wiffle ball while we were there. They also have on-site mini-golf, basketball, and the pools are set up primarily for kids to have fun. Even the quieter pool area has a splash pad. If you don't like kids, I would not recommend staying here. If you are traveling with kids, they may not want to leave the resort. Even for Disney. And if you're traveling and need a break from the Disney experience, a day here if you're staying here will give you a break from the hectic nature of a Disney trip. They also have a little issue with chair saving. The pools open up at 8 and there are people lined up to save chairs. However we never really saw people roaming around and frustrated. Personally I preferred the quieter pool area, where this wasn't a problem, but the little kids wanted the big pool with the pirate ship so we joined the chair-savers at 8. The big pool is also closest to the restaurant and bar.

This is a great hotel. We both led this for a Disney stay with both sets of grandparents. We always do at least 1 day to relax in the middle of park visits, which I highly recommend. $30 mini golf for your entire room unlimited play. 2 pools with pirate ship and water slides. Soccer fields, basketball, foosball, etc. This is a great place that kids won’t get bored. Also my son got hurt, and they were all over it and even called and checked up the next day. They do now charge parking ($25 a day).

Great property and convenient location. Our family of four was very comfortable in the two bedroom suite in building 15. It was very well equipped and we didn’t find ourselves in need of any kitchen items. There is always something exciting happening and the staff encourage participation in activities but handing out sand dollars for kids to redeem at the end of the stay. Parking is a breeze and our friends who visited had no problem getting in to see us. We were impressed by the quality of the mini golf on site. Thanks Marriott for a great holiday.

The resort is very conveniently located to the convention center. The pools are nice for young kids and plenty of activities like ping pong and a small playground. The traffic on Rt 4 to Disney is always busy. There is one restaurant onsite with what I would consider bar food and a full bar. Service was good. The wifi is spotty. It is a vacation club and they will try to get you to join. Washer and dryer is nice to have. (It is small) All amenities in kitchen. Pretty quiet although we could hear family above us one night. We had a 2 BR suite and worked well for our family.
