Wonderful resort with cheerful atmosphere

We stayed at Marti Resort Marmaris as a family and had an amazing time. The vibes of the parties were really fun and lively, and the kids’ mini club was cheerful and well organized. A special thanks to Esra, who was always so kind, cheerful, and helpful—she really made our holiday even more enjoyable. Highly recommend

Some good some bad

There are many positives about this hotel, firstly the grounds and social areas are beautiful. There are lovely views in all directions. Our room was basic and run down in places such as pealing wallpaper, lots of black mould in the bathroom. However we spent very little time in the room. The restaurant was average, I loved the salads, Turkish dishes, but the queues for the daily specialities were horrendous with people pushing in and clearing out whole food stations. This put me off as it made it feel like a canteen. Most of the staff were very friendly and polite, the reception team were helpful and the entertainment. However the lady on the beach bar was so incredibly rude and miserable (surmanjur). I didn’t bother using that bar after several bad experiences with her. Also sadly we were not aware this was a dog friendly hotel and saw owners not picking up their dogs poo. Also a dog was located on the room next to us and the owners went out at night and left it and it was barking and howling till past 2am. Not what I expect when I’ve paid a lot of money for a hotel. I loved Icmeler but not sure I would return here due to the dogs in the hotel.

Aggressive chef wanted a fight.

We have Been to this hotel 4 times but this time I had a big problem,on one of the first nights at the grill section I took a chicken skewer with my hand and the horrible chef started shouting at me infront of my son and other guests I was in shock and it made me very angry I walked away and the scumbag chef kept looking at me like he wanted a fight, the reason this happened is he thought I was a arab and I could see he was a racist little did he know that im turkish, I went back and asked him for his name he said what are you going to do with my name very aggressively, I said I will make a complaint he said his name was ahmet I called the manager and the scumbag chef came over like he wanted a fight and started to shout again infront of the manager,after I sat down the head chef came and apologised but I don't think anything was done about the situation, I have never been treated like this in my life, apart from that we like the hotel the rooms are big, great location, nice beach the food is ok not upto the standards it should be and the rooms were not cleaned very well, because of the issue with the horrible chef we will never come back again.
