Match Resort Hotel

I had a wonderful time at this hotel for the two nights we stayed there. The room was welcoming. Staff members were friendly, helpful and available. I really enjoyed the sea view from our balcony. This hotel lends itself to persons enjoying the environs and the nearby attractions. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for one night.. very friendly staff.. gave me the options of two room, the one I had an amazing view of the blue mountains. Breakfast was cooked fresh as not many people staying here. Did not get the opportunity to use the pool as the weather was raining.

The "resort" is unsanitary, unsafe and ran by an arrogant, self righteous man. I checked into the hotel on Friday November 1. Upon entering the room I checked the balcony door as I was a solo traveller. The door could not close, I informed the hotel that the door was not secure and I was informed that I was on a high floor (two floors up) and as such the room was secured. I insisted and the polite young man at the front desk did his best to secure the door. After about 10 minutes I realised the room was not cool, I walked down to the front desk (no way to call from the room) the poor guy at the desk came up, attempted to fix the unit and promptly announced the unit was broken. I was then relocated to another room, after having a shower I attempted to close the bathroom door to maintain the room temperature and keep bugs out. The window could not close as it was somehow sitting outside the frame. This allowed mosquitoes and other bugs in. I checked out the next day, I was supposed to have a four night stay and the owner after berating his staff in front of me refused to refund the three outstanding nights. Do not waste your time this is a dump at best!

A very well maintained property and not far from tourist attractions such as Somerset Falls and Winnifred Beach. Very convenient location due to its proximity to Port Antonio. Excellent value for money!! The cost not be beaten for a family of 4 (included 2 adult children). We booked half board and were very well taken care of. We had breakfast and an evening meal included in the price. The only suggestions for improvement that we would make are perhaps to be offered a greater variety of meals. But would like to thank all the staff at making our stay at Match Resort comfortable and welcoming.

The breakfast menu is a bit limited BUT the staff is very friendly, helpful and polite. Verona, Renaldo,Kay and the chef were very accommodating and helped us through any issues we had. It was generally a good experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
