Meder Resort Hotel

Before arriving, I read many reviews, and in my honest opinion, this hotel does not meet the standard of a true five-star hotel. The hotel is not directly on the beach. It is around a 10–15 minute walk away, although a free shuttle runs every 30 minutes. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are spacious, with a double bed and sofa bed. The bathroom includes a good selection of toiletries, and the rooms are cleaned well. Water is replenished daily in the minibar, but soft drinks are only provided on arrival. Rooms facing the pool can be very noisy because of the evening entertainment, and the walls are quite thin. The weakest part of the hotel is the food. There is a reasonable choice, but the quality is poor. Many dishes are repeated, the chicken was undercooked several times, the meat was often fatty or chewy, and the desserts were nearly the same every day. The restaurant can be crowded, with long queues, and some guests were rude, pushing in and touching food with their hands. Drinks are served in very small paper cups, and the fruit drinks are extremely sweet. The poolside snack bar has very limited options. There is also a café serving cakes and a bar near reception. The hotel mainly caters to Russian-speaking guests. The staff are friendly, but only a few speak good English. Much of the entertainment and evening shows are in Russian, and we found them repetitive and disappointing. Several family members used the spa, Turkish bath and massage services. Most were not satisfied because the massages were very weak, although my own masseuse was good. I had specifically requested female staff only and separation from men in the Turkish bath, but this request was not respected. We also celebrated a family member’s birthday in the buffet restaurant. The hotel decorated a table and provided a cake on request, but the price was very high: €50 for the decoration and another €50 for the cake. In my opinion, neither the decoration nor the cake was good enough to justify the cost, especially as a similar cake was available at the buffet. The beach is quite small, but the hotel has its own section, and we always found available sunbeds. Nearby there is a small so-called aquapark with only two slides and one pool. The slides are closed several times during the day, and the snack bar serves the same basic food every day. The surroundings are beautiful. Kemer is surrounded by mountains, and the town centre is only a short walk away and definitely worth visiting. Overall, the hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the location is beautiful. However, because of the poor food quality, noise, weak entertainment, limited English and strong focus on Russian-speaking guests, I would not consider it a true five-star hotel.

The hotel is amazing, our experience was very pleasant. The food is excellent, everything is very clean, the staff is very kind and helpful, especially Marcos who helped us all the time and solved everything for us. Rooms are big. The pool is very clean and big enough for everybody. Entertainment could be improved in the evening. During the day it is ok. Too much Russian music and too little international music in the evening. All in all, our group of 13 people had a great experience here and would come back for sure. Thank you, Meder Resort ! 🤗
