Medhufushi Island Resort

Apprehensive pre trip after reading some poor reviews about the decking around the pool being dangerous, however this was all rectified when we arrived. This is a well established resort and is continually doing routine maintenance to combat the elements of the beautiful weather. No issues with the decking etc during our visit. The hotel is an elderly lady but her beauty brings with her great hospitality and exceptional service. Everything here is so relaxing, service prefect and weather just as expected. Lots of appreciation to Sajjat as our dining room host, always made sure we drank lots of water and had great restaurant service. Ashwin our bedroom service person kept our room in the best condition despite us being a quite untidy couple , thanks so much. In general the only downsides were the cost of the water sports considering this is an all inclusive hotel and the limited drinks selection in the bar, all inclusive should be a broader menu. Will we come back ? Most definitely and as soon as possible.

Property is awesome. Staff is also good except their accountant mr ASIM, he is very unethicaland unprofessional person. We have booked 2 rooms for 5 days but he has taken undue advantage of having rights. He has made approximately 90 dollars by making fake promises of upgradation. We were having our meal and he was standing on our head right in the middle. So rude and unmanned. We are frequent traveller and have already visited paradise islands and resorts of maldives in year 2019. Mr asim is a curse to reputation of this resort

The experience was too good & relaxing , especially scuba diving & jet ski. Would like to mention Mr. Akhil ji & Mr.Jagan ji for their valuable assistance. They also offer kayaking & swimming in open ocean waters which is again very mersmerizing. Will surely recommend to family & friends.

The resort is very relaxing with excellent services and hospitality .The over all staff especially Mr.Jagan and Mr. Akhil were very cooperative and helpful .The activities were amazing , tried jetskiing, scuba diving,fun tou,kayaking and had wonderful experience .Will recommend the resort for the perfect holiday.

After lot of search we make the perfect choice to visit Medhufushi island resort, that offers value for money stay and kind of affordable luxury experience with all inclusive plan and sea plane transfers. Some team members, such as Aseem, jagan, shibu, Hari, yasin, sarita, sujith, and chef anu are outstanding and very helpful everytime. I would loved to be here again...!! Neat and clean rooms with feel of heritage or village style stay surrounded by trees & in front of the beach.. water villa also offers good experience of sunrise or sunset depending on direction. Overall fantastic stay.. housekeeping team is very helpful. Nearby activities We did snorkeling tour & dolphin watching tour which was part of the pkg. Resort itself a good place to do snorkeling at beginners level, you get to see many baby sharks (harmless) and other colourful fishes as well... Water villa side is safe and good for snorkeling experience with kids or family. Every day evening they do shark feeding activity nr Villu Bar, it is One of the lifetime experience.. Safety Yes absolutely safe.. not to worry at all.. Walkability It is only 1 km island, you can cover everything by walk easily. Food and drinks we were concerned about indian food and beyond our expectations, we got Indian food daily basis at all 3 time. in breakfast they served 1 or 3 dish in indian cuisine such as Poha, dosa, puri- bhaaji, upma, oats, paratha and of course egg counter helps you with Masala omelette or half fry as you need. in lunch and dinner also they served various indian dishes 1 or 2 at a time such as Bhindi Masala, aaloo mutter, aloo ghobi, ghobi masala, cabbage masala, chana dal masala, chhole bhature, moong dal curry, various lentils, mix veg dry, mix veg curry and daily dal fry along with white rice, fried rice, pineapple rice, tomato rice etc... in non veg also they served chicken curry, fish curry, egg curry roasted chicken, tandoori chicken, grilled chicken, grilled fish, kababs, lamb biryani, chicken biryani, sea food rice etc.. apart from all these they had pastas & noodles counter on daily basis. So, we were lucky enough to get the great choice of food with good taste as well. One suggestion is they should put beers in minibar, in all-inclusive menu at room minibar they serves only cold-drinks. So, every time you have to visit villu bar when you wants to drink beer or alcohol as per all inclusive plan. Noteworthy details The resort is located far from Male, it take 2 Hrs 30 min by speed boat and about 45 min by sea plane. availability of sea plane depends after your flight landing. It may take up to 30 min to 3 hrs to get the sea plane available from Male airport. For return you get the time a day before check out from reception. Sea Plane option is better than speed boat option, go for all inclusive plan if you are a heavy drinker other wise full board plan is sufficient.
