Milaidhoo Island Maldives

My wife and I just wrapped up our 5-night stay at Milaidhoo to celebrate our 2-year wedding anniversary. We had visited Milaidhoo back in 2023 as well and knew that one day we had to return to this incredible paradise island. Milaidhoo has only improved with age. This time we opted for a Beach Villa instead of a Water Villa which we found to be exceptionally convenient and spacious. The house reef is only 20 feet from the beachfront which made for incredible snorkel sessions each day. The rooms are expansive and everything is laid out perfectly just where you'd expect to find it. The housekeeping team did an amazing job of organizing all of our belongings each day. They wouldn't miss any little details and even tied charging cables neatly, placing toiletries in their correct location and providing clean beach towels on the beds each morning. At Milaidhoo, you really feel like you're a part of their family. The team goes out of their way to not only make you feel welcome, but that no request is ever too much for them. I'd like to specially recognize Shiaz at the Ocean restaurant. He was always so helpful and charming. When my wife wasn't feeling very well due to high blood pressure, he ended up sending her preferred pasta dish to the room to ensure that she could enjoy dinner in comfort. He would regularly check-in to see how she was doing and if she needed anything to help her feel better. Oswaldo and Arvinder who oversee the food/beverage program are absolutely top-notch. They have a passion for delivering unique cuisine in an unbelievable setting. Even if you eat all of your meals at the Ocean restaurant (whis is included as part of the half-board), you'l never get bored with the choices. There is so much variety to select from and they make sure that the menu is engaging every single day. They are also happy to accomodate any dietary requests or slight alterations as needed to provide a truly customized experience. Our Thakkaru, Maadhih, was excellent throughout the course of our stay. He helped me to arrange a unique excursion to swim with mantas and whale sharks which was awe-inspiring. For our anniversary, he arranged a few surprises in the room for us which left a lasting impression. Jhosna greeted us in the morning and the evenings at Ocean and she is a true asset to the Milaidhoo team. She is so sweet and caring, always going out of her way to help select the best table and dining atmosphere to make the most of your experience. She knew our names before we even met her and memorized many of our preferences without ever being asked. Saaha was one of the best waiters we have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. He was super informative and very passionate about the menu items at Ocean. I would regularly ask him for recommendations and his descriptions of each item were incredibly helpful. All of his recommendations were spot-on based on my palate. He was always providing outstanding service with a huge smile and eager to please attitude. Toby was another member of the team who would typically handle the bread service and beverages at the beginning of each meal. My wife thought he did a tremendous job in providing excellent service each evening. If we ever had a question, he was always super attentive and wanted to ensure that the entire dinner service ran smoothly. Yoonus was a waiter that we had the pleasure of meeting during our stay in 2023. He is a veteran in his field and really knows the ropes around the Ocean restaurant. The second my glass was empty, he was immediately at our table to see if a refill was in order. Truly outstanding in every way and provided service with a sense of urgency which is sometimes difficult to find in the Maldives. Hats off to him for an amazing experience! Lastly, I want to give a special shout-out to Shippe. Shippe is another member of the team that we met 2 years ago. Honestly, after our visit this time, I consider him a close friend. He was so excited to see us again and remember many specific details from our trip which was back in 2023. He helped us to take some photos around the island and was always so helpful during meals at Ocean. He has an incredible positive, can-do attitude and does an amazing job with rapport building. He wants to learn more about his guests and their preferences, but in a non-intrusive way that allows him develop consultative relationships. He is an incredible asset to the Milaidhoo team and represents the ethos of the resort perfectly. Our time with him was super memorable and I hope we can see him again in the future. Thank you all again for an outstanding experience! We hope to be back again soon to celebrate another one of life milestones in the not too distant future.

Our stay at Milaidhoo was most peaceful and relaxing. The staff were exceptional, especially our senior Butler Ammadey - I would recommend him to everyone who decides to visit the island. He exceeded expectation and made sure everything went smoothly, it was like FBI work!

This hotel was simply great. It was super private and everything was very personalized. The beach was wonderful and the reef for snorkeling was full of life. Being very close to Hanufaru Bay, you can see incredible animals like huge mantas. The food of the restaurants was delicious, from breakfast to dinner, every plate made you feel in a Michelin star restaurant. And last but not least, the staff. I think this is the strongest pro Milaidhoo has, it’s family members. They are always there for you for everything you need and make you feel so comfortable, like in a family. Everyone is such a good person. We had the pleasure of getting to know better family members like Shiraz, Roxy, Thibu, Alfie, Raasy, Thiru, Johana, and Oswaldo who, with the hotel manager Paul, made sure we felt the best possible at all times. In general, great experience and very recommended to anyone who is thinking about it.
