Mirihi Island Resort

An Amazing little island! From the stat to the finish we were made to feel very special by Carman & her team! We enjoyed the most awesome 10 night stay at Mirihi! Excellent beach villa with fabulous snorkelling into the ocean! The food was fantastic & equalled Michelin Star with wide choices of great salads, pasta, fish oysters & meats! The pizza was as good as you get in Italy! We spent the afternoons around the pool enjoying cocktails/mocktails & wines were superb! Also watching the sun set at Maruka with superb cocktails & hos d’ourves! Early morning yoga was good… worth getting up for & a great start to the day! Massages were excellent at the spa! The diving was fabulous with varied dive sights & super dive boat team! The snorkelling on the house reef was incredible with eagle rays, turtles, black tips sharks plus much more! The whale shark & manta ray excursions were amazing & lucky to see three whale sharks & mantas on each trip, a great boat team too! The sun set cruise was lovely with dolphins all the way back & enjoyed super drinks & hors d’ourves on a beautiful boat! Our beach villa was great with views into the ocean & everything you needed plus cleaned every day to a high standard, The whole island is kept immaculate with beautiful plants & totally unspoilt! Thankyou Mirihi & we look forward to seeing you again in March 2027!

We have just returned from our third trip to Mirihi and it was the best ever !! We were a bit concerned that the new renovations may have changed the 'relaxing vibe' of the island but there was no need as the new pool and the refurbished rooms were a very welcome addition. Furthermore they have been tastefully done and with no expense spared which has protected the authenticity of the island. The food as always was on a different level with so much choice and catering for all tastes albeit Felix and his fantstic team do not help your waistline. Breakfast follows a similar theme with bespoke egg stations expertly managed by the 'always happy' VJ !! The standout factor for us is that every member of staff from gardeners through to front of house ably managed by the always friendly Carmen and all customer facing staff can't do enough for you and just want you to have a fantastic holiday !! Nothing is too much trouble and the attention to detail is perfect. The bar expereience has also benefitted from the renovations with an improved sitting area in the evening and the service provided by Krishna is as always top quality. We stayed in one of the beach villas which was outstanding as was the service from our room boy Jameel who surprised us daily with his 'sand messages' on our entrance decking and his array of towel sculptures !! The introduction of a personal butler was a nice touch and made things easier to book and Viaam made the process easy. Additionally the free excursions due to the ongoing building works was a very nice thought although our holiday was not affected by these works in anyway whatsoever. Mirihi is without doubt our own personal paradise and we feel so privileged to have found such a special place in the Indian Ocean. We are already looking forward to returning next year.
