Mitsis Alila Exclusive Resort & Spa

Holiday trip to Mitsis, Alila, Sept 2025 This was our first trip to stay at the Mitsis Alila (Selection hotel) at Faliraki in Rhodes. We have holidayed many times at the Mitsis Hotel group hotels in Greece. We started with an excellent EasyJet plane from Luton and as usual the service was superb. On time, excellent pre- service and plane staff. Nothing was too much for them to do to make our flight pleasant. Booked fast track for security check and waltzed through. Passport control at Rhodes Airport was efficient and our luggage received promptly. We had a private transfer and arrived at the hotel in about 20 minutes. On arriving at the hotel we were booked in by efficient staff. We are Mentor members so quickly administered. The Hotel group run a points system for the number of nights you stay at one of their hotels and the Mentor class is the top one. Make sure you join this at the hotel and accumulate points for extra facilities. We were given a drink and the facilities of the hotel explained to us. Then quickly to our specious room by a very helpful ball boy with little extras in the room (like fridge replenished each day to include beers and wine) due to our Mentor status. Luckily we were just above the reception area on the second floor with a wonderful view of the ocean and sunlight during the day. You should fill in the booking stay form on-line so saving time. Only the passport photocopy had to be done by the reception staff. Any problems see Michelle at Customer services. Always cheerful and helpful. We found out that there was an adults only pool area by the front reception and this was usually quiet. There was a large general pool on a floor below and of course the beach area. Our pool had a nearby bar area which was exceptionally administered by a wonderful staff. Open throughout the day and well into the night. Pool attendants would come around also and take your drinks orders. As this was a Select (old Gold standard) Mitsis hotel, the highest standard one in the group. All alcohol beverages were export standard with no local produced spirits. All sunbeds were of excellent wooden quality with towels that could be replenished all day with many quality umbrellas. There was also a paddle ball enclosed area for exercise besides an indoor gym with the usual assortment of machines. The main pool area at a floor below had plenty of sunbeds (same quality) and many free during the day. This pool allowed children as well. There was a separate children’s pool further on with small water park. Food and drink was also available in this area. There was a beach front area, again with plety of quality beds and umbrellas and another pool bar open to 6.00pm. Children’s entertainment was provided throughout the day. The main food hall was well set out and with a plentiful and varied food selection. There were 3 other themed restaurants – Asian, Greek and Italian which had to be booked in advance. Also included was a brunch restaurant open mornings and lunch time. All good quality. There were also separate coffee and drinks area also around the hotel including an adults only bar. There was superb varied music group entertainment every night in a well set out area and was one of the best we have encountered in our stays. Well worth staying up. Senior members of staff were always paroling during the day and open to comments and conversation. Excellent hotel repartee. Always open to suggestions which seem to be implemented. There was a small shopping area in the hotel. There was no corniche outside but a regular bus service to Faliraki and Rhodes just along from the hotel. Excellent service with payment as you entered the bus. Overall a superb 5 star plus hotel with many excellent points and well worth the money spent to stay there. Staff were very pleasant, smiling, cheerful and always available to help you. Would I visit again. Certainly YES. Such luxury.

Brilliant family holiday. Great food, Great service and great location. Nothing to complain about at all. Special mention to the bartenders. Ilya, Franco and Calypso in the pool bar and Iordannis in the Beach bar. All were superb and a credit to the hotel. I guess the only room for improvement was more themes in the main restaurant. Would definitely return.

A truly special stay at Mitsis Selection Alila at the end of our Rhodes holiday over October half-term. We were sad to only be there for 1 night & would love to return! A complete contrast to our experience at Rhodos Village near Lindos - we wish we had stayed at Alila for the entire holiday. From the moment we arrived (by Rania and Anna on reception) we felt welcomed, looked after and every moment exceeded our expectations. From the exceptional customer service from every staff member we met, to the atmosphere, quality and selection of the food and overall cleanliness of the hotel - despite almost closing for the season as a guest we wouldn't have known (again a complete contrast to Rhodos Village where they had run out of many food/drink items and many of the staff members seemed to have already 'checked-out'). Thank you for this wonderful, true 5* experience and for restoring our faith in the Mitsis Group.

The hotel is spotless and service around the hotel can't be faulted especially Nana and Amelia in the creperie. We were upgraded to a complimentary pool room on arrival that was brilliant as the main pool isn't heated but these are. Also the kids pool is heated and we couldn't get ours out it was perfect. The hotel is great for families as you can see the full grounds from your room so it allowed our kids a bit of freedom that they loved. The entertainment was really good for the kids and adults. My only fault is the front of the house. On our last day we wanted to change a few alterations with times at the a La Carte restaurant. The room where this is altered was closed as it was the end of the season. I asked the front of the house and got a stern No sorry your times are your times. I went directly to the restaurant to be told it's not a problem and arrived two hours later to an empty restaurant, point blank she couldn't be bothered to help... Later that day we checked out and were told our room to shower and get ready is the doctors room that stinks of damp. We refused and were given a room to get showered in on the second floor and it came with an attitude for their trouble. I think this is very poor as their season is all about done except for 4 days so there were in excess of 50% of free rooms ... All in all the last day left a little on a low from what was faultless holiday until this.

We’ve just returned from the most wonderful stay at Mitsis Alila in Rhodes. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcome and cared for. A special thank you to Anna and Rania on reception for their kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay. And an extra special mention to Spiros, the amazing pizza chef on the beach — he was incredible with our youngest son, patiently teaching him how to make pizza. Watching his confidence grow was such a special moment we’ll always remember. The food was outstanding, the facilities fantastic, and every member of staff went above and beyond. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return! 💛
