This beach hotel also offers horse riding and lift access but be sure to double check before confirming your booking if any faclity is important because facilities can change.

Poor quality rooms, no available sun loungers, constant queuing

We are currently here on a weeks holiday. Generally staff are friendly however this hotel is definitely not 5 star. We are horrified by the state of the bath which has visible filler covering chips. As well as being unsightly it’s dangerous meaning the bath cannot be used. It’s not acceptable to allocate a room clearly needing repair to paying guests. The shower leaks and has mould around the seals. Reception did offer as another room but with a tiny bathroom and no separate shower. There are 3 à la carte restaurants but with a once per stay booking policy even if there is availability (which there is for lunch time) that means allot of meals in the buffet which gets very repetitive. There are food trucks / takeaway options but all have long lines, queuing in the sun with hungry children is not ideal and there is often no free seating. Unless you get out to reserve early there are not enough sunbeds. We have had to resort to leaving our things on chairs in the pool area which have no shade. The kids club is not the kind of kids club that you would expect at a hotel claiming to be 5 star. Parents need to stay close by on a sun lounger and still keep an eye on the children-which is difficult given there aren’t any free!

Mountain View??

We stayed here 12 years ago and loved it. Thinking a ‘Mountain View’ would be the same standard of decor but with just different outlook we opted for this choice this time. What a mistake… There was no mountain, just a hill that was only visible when straining to the side on the balcony. Located on the ground floor, the actual view was the staff car park, unkempt shrubs and the side of the building next door. The room was dark and dingy, next to the public toilets and adjacent to the hotel bar. Despite having no disabilities, we were allocated a room that was kitted out for a wheelchair user, with the ugliest bathroom imaginable. No bath or shower cubicle, just a shower area complete with rusted tiles and a stained curtain supported by a bit of chain. No shelving or cabinets so toiletries were on the floor, which flooded whenever the shower was in use. A WC so high my feet didn’t reach the floor (I’m 5’7”) and a cracked and rusty mirror instead of the beautifully decorated version shown on the website. After complaining to the dismissive reception staff, we were offered 2 other rooms; one tiny with no balcony, the other so foisty it took our breath away and was totally overlooked by a public terrace. After 5 days, we were eventually transferred to the type of room we remembered, but with only 2 days of the holiday remaining, the whole experience has been completely spoiled. The many positive features of the hotel have been totally overshadowed by the negative aspects we’ve experienced. The hotel advise the tour operator requested a ‘mobility’ room which they dispute - but have not yet responded to our repeated requests for more information. Either way, the Mountain View did not exist so avoid yourself the same heartache and avoid booking this.

We have just returned from a week at this beautiful hotel. We were first welcomed so warmly to the hotel and check-in was efficient and quick. Our room was beautiful we were in a family sea view room (room220) really well located, the room was beautifully decorated, very comfy beds. The standard of cleaning daily was very high. The mini fridge is a great addition. The pools are great, kids liked that they could use the heated pool upstairs, but they braved the cold pool also and once you're in it soon warms up. My only suggestion and definitely not a criticism is, if the hotel was ever to do a refurb of the pools the kids pool should be doubled in size. The food is to a very high standard, you're honestly spilt for choice. We enjoyed every restaurant we dined at and wish we just had more time at the hotel to visit the restaurants more than once. The evening entertainment is great. They have some real class acts and it's a great feel on an evening. Lastly and I think most importantly the hotel is outstanding because of the service you receive. I never walked past a member of staff that didn't say hello or smile, they genuinely want to make sure that you have a great holiday. I would honestly return again and again just to receive this great service. Thank you for one of the best holidays we have had in a very long time. We hope to be back next year.

The best week in Mitsis Alila. The best part has to be the excellent service at the beach bar from Nicoletta. The drinks were kept coming 😎🌟 Bobby, Josephine, Maria and Louis all made our stay and days of lounging on the beach a whole lot better.
