Mitsis Faliraki, excellent but needs a word!

Very good location, excellent hotel, great selection of food & snacks available almost 24hrs/day. The main restaurant & snack staff are very attentive & cheerful. Facilities are very good, with Plenty of loungers in all the various areas, around the pools, around the palm-trees & on their own beach area. Rooms:- kept very clean, swept daily, bedding changed every 2nd-day, towels too. Cleanliness in general throughout the hotel & all areas is excellent The 'Wellness & Spa' is worth using for the massage; Eleftheria found & ironed-out knots & tension in several areas, some I didn't realise I had. So relaxing. Smaller restaurants sit around the outside of the main-building & edge of the pools:- Mexican, Asian, Greek, Burger, Italian, all excellent & good food choices. Down next to the pool bar, you find the 'Crepes' station, cakes area, & Ice-creams. Drinks available in the main-building, the pool bar, & bar near the kids' pool/beach entrance area, with great service (with a smile) from the waitresses ~ not so much from the pool bar-staff, who seem to resent guests standing at the bar asking for drinks:- they're happy to talk-down to guests, leaving them embarrassed, feeling like they're a nuisance. Egotistical barmen ~ Not good at all for this hotel! (Management:- Have a word please, for your own sake.) There is a local bus-stop around 200mtrs from the hotel, buses (No 40) every 20mins into Rhodes (Rodos) town, port & market areas, price = 2 Euros & 50cents, each way. Coming back they are every 20mins, same price:- buy tickets at the 'Ticket' booth in town (near the town drop-off). Enjoy this hotel & all it offers.

Stay away if you are looking for a true 5 star hotel experience

Expected a 5 star standard, sadly for three crucial reasons it is definitely not a 5 star hotel experience. The food at the Mitsis Faliraki is at best 3.5 stars, it definitely would not make a 4 star standard. The bar lounge has uncomfortable plastic rattan seats with non breathing plastic cushions that leaves you feeling damp. The bar sofas have little or no back support, that we could not sit for long. We would expect home comfort upholstered furniture you get from a 4 star hotel. A lack of overworked bar staff resulting in 15 deep queues getting their own drinks at the bar rather than wait for a waiter. Apart from these shortcomings the rest of the hotel was acceptable. The other reviews stating that the food is fantastic is not reality and is a misrepresentation, so beware. Buffet offered cheap meat cuts like chicken wings, chicken thighs, little carved meat and cottage pie and no shellfish or quality meat cuts etc., is not fantastic food. The a la carte restaurants were nothing special either. Give the Mitsis Faliraki a miss if you are looking for a 5 star experience. We were very disappointed.

fantastic experience

just returned from mitsis falaraki ..the whole experience was absolutely fantastic .we have travelled extensively but never had the brilliant service we recieved here.the staff are to die for and cannot do enough for you.we have stayed in eight mitsis hotels including the alila and blue domes all very good but nothing compared to this one.to all the staff who made our holiday fantastic we give you a massive THANK YOU

Mitsis Faliraki Hotel has a winning formula

Superb hotel and very pleased with our choice, EasyJet Holiday and checked trip advisor before booking. Week in late May 2025, we arrived at the hotel just before 10pm and met by very friendly and accommodating reception staff and invited to have meal and drinks as restaurant was closing, very nice gesture. Checked in to our room and them to bar for a few drinks. It was evident the hotel was full, you just need to manage you stay to get the best out of it, and plenty of space around pools, large grass area and large beach area. As there were six adults in our party Conceige were very helpful to book the numerous A La Carte restaurants, all were excellent especially the last sitting for Sushi and ‘champagne’. The brunch in the Mexican Restaurant was also a treat too. This hotel has a winning formula for me and my family and if all Mitsis hotels were as good, then they deserve the success. Thanks you to all the staff. Cheers

Superb stay

We have had a wonderful holiday at Mitsis Faliraki. The hospitality staff are just fantastic so welcoming but a special mention to the staff serving the drinks in the pool and main bar. They are truly amazing. They don’t stop and always service with a smile . We never waited to be served they are so attentive. We would honestly return for this service alone. We had a sea view room which was lovely with a view over the pool too. Beds were super comfy . Food was good . We enjoyed the al a carte restaurants. We enjoyed the pool and beach . We liked it so much we may return with our children and grandchildren 😊
