Honest review from a family of four- kids ages 9 and 16. Positives- First and foremost this hotel is about 15 mins from the airport- we arrived at night so couldn't really appreciate the views but the next morning WOW. Everywhere you looked you could see the sea, we went and had a cheeky look around the other 5 star hotels and the views were exactly the same, you would be hard pushed to find such stunning scenery anywhere in the world. Check in quick and friendly- we were later on so just got in time for some food. I emailed the hotel months in advance to ask for a lower ladder pool access due health reasons, so was a bit disappointed to arrive to a room with a higher ladder, however after speaking to reception the next day we was moved rooms with the lovely option of seeing if the room was OK before saying yes, I thought this was great. The guy who helps with the suitcase Iglint? Sorry I didn't catch your name was so helpful and always had a smile whenever I saw him! We are not a family used to ultra all inclusive so it was lovely to be welcomed with a bottle and a fruit tray! The mini bar and fridge was brilliant too, even though we bought bottles of water, the kids loved having the cans of pop! It made you feel a bit fancy ! The view from our room was sensational, I would highly recommend a shared pool, ours was so quiet and peaceful, I could have just laid there all day and watched the sea! (These are salt so goggles for the kids!) The room itself was fine, ours was a family superior with shared pool, the big bed is really comfy. There was no blinds up so I asked the suitcase man (sorry no name!) And he got them straight away as the 16 year old wanted some privacy! There's were two sofa beds, which were fine, didn't understand why the kids are near the balcony/pool door, if I had younger kids this would have worried me. The main pool isn't salt- or at least my 9 year old could swim underwater without hurting his eyes?? We only went a few times as it was very very busy. The cocktails were amazing, the barman roped my husband into doing shots! He works some serious hours and never stops! The pink lemonade was a bit hit with us all and just tasted great! The crepes and ice cream were also such a nice touch, the man who does the crepes was always so nice. The favourite pool of my 9 year old was the one down the hill with the slides! Again the lifeguard there was lovely and must work some serious hours! This pool is chlorine and the slides are great fun! It was relatively quiet here for us - you can get drinks here too! The walk back up this hill though is a killer and we did ask if we could get a lift back up but we were told not. So we walked down to the beach and got the beach buggy back up! There was a heatwave so it was intense! The beach buggy runs fairly regularly, you could walk this down really depends on how fit you are! (Same applies for the rooms really, its hilly so if you have mobility issues consider this!) The beach was amazing, definitely buy those cheap water shoes as its pebbles and they get sooooo hot. The sea was so clear, we could see the fish! I bought a snorkel before hand and it was lovely to see all the fish! There's an inflatable water park here, jet skis and other water sports. You can use the non slide pedalos for 30 mins for free! So we did this a few times! Think the slide ones are 30 euros for an hour. You can get pizza, gyros and all the normal drinks here, the pizza is amazing! Such a lovely touch to leave the complex and still get food and drinks! Sunbeds also provided and towels from the hotel. There were a few supermarkets too. This really is just a large complex with 4/5 hotels so if you like to walk to a town this won't be for you, saying this though we did get the bus to karmandina, took 10/15 mins and was such a pretty little place! Lots of bars and scenery! People were lovely. I LOVED the entertainment, the fire show was great, Mp2 was our absolute favourite not just because the lady was English! She was funny and sang The Killers! And her Husband was great on the guitar! Was nice to just sit around the pool and watch the entertainment. We walked down to the bar on the beach on our last night and had a drink there - don't know if we were supposed too but we had a few drinks in the Norida beach bar- this hotel looked absolutely amazing, I think you could have upgraded your bands but not use the a la carte. Dress code was very mixed! I think a night you could dress up or not there was a mix of both! Lots of teenagers Negatives - (Sorry!) I don't know if it was just the time of year we went but it felt VERY busy, it also felt like the hotel wasn't used to it being this busy, as some staff seemed fed up at times. (Not rude or anything, just fed up) maybe it was just us but we picked up on it, this was never more evident than at meal times, I'm sure when it isn't that busy this is a more pleasant experience as the staff were so lovely (the george Clooney look alike as my eldest called him) always had a high five and a smile, some people were asked what drinks they wanted and some not. It just felt crazy busy no matter the time we went for dinner or tea, the food was fine, pizza, pasta, chips ect not a great deal for fussy younger kids I imagine, I didnt enjoy eating any meal because the staff took away my plate the second I put down my fork, one time we got up for pudding and our table had been given to someone else! It just felt too busy for the hotel. I'm sure at quieter times this is more pleasant as the views are spectacular and would have been great to eat outside! The flies around the food was a real put off for me. Chinese night was great but again, It felt like the queues for things like pizza and chips were too long, it literally put me off getting something. Breakfast was lovely though, plenty of choice, pancakes, cereal my Husband loved the porridge. Again we are not fussy people this is just our experience. We had a late flight so asked to have a late check out as I usually need a rest because of my condition which unfortunately we couldn't get so had to stay round the pool and book a shower room. Overall the hotel was one of the most stunning scenery wise I've ever seen, its just beautiful as is Greece. I booked via the app the Anniversary cake and bottle which were delivered to our room, which was nice, my Husband tried to book a special Aniversary meal at one of the other hotels but was told he couldn't use the a la carte which would have been nice. The staff work so hard here to make it a happy holiday! Perhaps we just experienced it at its busiest! Xxxx Thanks for a lovely holiday! (And the lovely receptionist who complimented my dress!)
