Mitsis Rodos Village Beach Hotel and Spa

We stayed at this Mitsis property in October 2025 and, sadly, it was the worst experience we’ve had with the brand to date. Before arrival, communication was a complete shambles. As Mitsis Story Tellers members with Mentor status, we have spent a significant amount of money across multiple Mitsis hotels, yet emails sent ahead of our stay were completely ignored. These emails were to book an à la carte restaurant at the sister hotel, Mitsis Rodos Maris, which is included as part of our loyalty benefits. No one responded. On our first day, when I approached the concierge desk, the staff member immediately knew who I was and about my email without me giving my name or details, making it very clear we had simply been ignored. The location itself was fine, though there is not much around. This wouldn’t have been an issue if the food and drinks had been good, unfortunately, they were not. The hotel looks beautiful at first glance, but when you look closer, it is quite grotty. Our room on arrival was very dirty. We requested a room change the following day, which was granted begrudgingly. The second room was dirty in the same areas, the shower flooded every time it was used, and some electrical sockets didn’t work. We were told we could move again but after 4 days wasting time packing and unpacking, we declined and politely requested the faults were fixed. The main restaurant food was poor, repetitive, greasy, and overly salty. Coffee machines were regularly broken, resulting in huge queues, and staff were often visibly annoyed when asked if someone could fix them. Bar areas were also extremely limited, with staple items frequently unavailable, including coffee, orange juice, basic soft drinks, cocktails, and wine options. This was incredibly frustrating for an all-inclusive resort. The general attitude of staff suggested they were there purely for the pay cheque. There was very little effort to create a positive guest experience, especially compared to other Mitsis properties we’ve stayed at. Food service was slow, drinks were limited, and the beach pizza oven staff were outright rude, telling guests to go away and come back once they had finished “cleaning”, during peak lunchtime. As part of our Story Tellers benefits, we booked an anniversary package and should have received email confirmation (which, unsurprisingly, we didn’t). We expected it not to be there after dinner, but it was in the room. However, the fizz arrived without an ice bucket or glasses, and the cake lettering looked rushed and careless. The cake itself was tasty, though it appeared bought in. The food and service were the biggest failures of this hotel, and these are the very reasons we have remained loyal to Mitsis over the years, including hosting our pre-wedding celebration at a Mitsis property in 2024. It quickly became clear this hotel was not delivering the service we paid for. After repeated disappointment, we spent the final three days of our stay outside the hotel to get the food and service we deserved, spending money we should never have needed to spend. We raised our concerns during our stay and again afterward. The response was extremely disappointing. We were offered a small discount on a future stay at the same property, which we found unacceptable given the issues experienced. We requested a partial refund due to the appalling service and food quality, only to be declined with the response that “you should have told us at the time for us to rectify.” We did tell them, repeatedly. We spoke to bar staff, waiting staff, and on-site management, and we emailed with no response. While there was some minor effort to patch things up, the same issues continued daily. You cannot undo days of poor food, missing menu items, and inadequate service within a seven-day stay. This hotel does not reflect the Mitsis brand we have loved and trusted. Future guests should seriously question why they are choosing this property, as it does not deliver the Mitsis experience. Sadly, this stay has made us question using the brand again.

We chose Mitsis Rodos Village expecting a 5-star experience consistent with the Mitsis brand. While the hotel itself is visually attractive and well located, the service and overall experience fell significantly below expectations. From the outset, as Mitsis Story Tellers Memebers and Mentor Tier, communication was poor, with multiple pre-arrival emails unanswered. On arrival, the check-in process lacked basic guidance, and the room we were first given was not properly cleaned, with maintenance issues that required a room change. Unfortunately, similar cleanliness problems were present in the second room, along with a leaking shower that made the bathroom unsafe. The main restaurant offered very limited variety, with food often repetitive, overly salty, and greasy. Coffee machines were frequently empty or not working, and drink availability across bars was inconsistent, with basic items repeatedly unavailable. These were daily issues, not isolated incidents. Service levels were also disappointing. Anniversary cake and fizzy, complimentary service, but really looked like they didn’t want to do it. Nothing like most “promo” couples post on instagram or other social media. Some staff appeared frustrated when asked for basic replenishments, and at certain outlets, particularly the beach pizza station, service was slow and at times rude, affecting multiple guests, not just ourselves. We raised concerns during our stay and followed up extensively afterwards. While management acknowledged shortcomings, the only resolution offered was future discounts tied to returning to the same hotel, rather than compensation for the stay already paid for. This handling of the complaint further diminished our confidence. This hotel may look the part, but based on our experience, it does not currently deliver the service, consistency, or attention to detail expected of a 5-star resort or the Mitsis name. Future guests may wish to manage expectations carefully. If you’re still considering Mitsis, you should, but not here at Mitsis Rodos Village and go to Faliraki Mitsis where you’ll definitely have the BEST time.

The stay was amazing. The hotel is huge and offers many areas where you can relax. The pools were great, and we really enjoyed the daytime activites and animation. Our kids absolutely loved kidsclub, there was always something fun for them to do. The food was delicious and very varied, especially a la carte restaurants, which were excellent. A big plus was the pizza served on the beach, it was big advantage when spending the whole day there. The room was clean and comfortable, everything we needed for stay. Overall, a great hotel, we spend good time there.

The hotel was very nice and clean, and the rooms were comfortable. From almost every place in the hotel, there was a beautiful view of the sea. There was a various choice of meals every day at the main restautant, so everyone could find something they liked, including children. My kids really liked the mini club, where they could play and spend nice time with others. In the evening there was a mini disco which was fun. We had a great time and I would recommend this hotel to families with children.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mitsis Rodos Village Hotel, which offers a beautiful setting, great facilities, and a lively holiday atmosphere. The hotel is ideally located with stunning sea views, well-maintained grounds, and multiple pools that make it easy to relax and enjoy the Greek sunshine. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the overall layout of the resort is impressive and well organized. The food and drink options were varied, with several restaurants and bars available throughout the day, allowing everyone to find something they enjoy. The hotel provides plenty of activities for both adults and children, making it a great choice for families as well as couples looking for an active and enjoyable holiday. A special mention must go to the entertainment team, who truly made our stay unforgettable. The 2025 entertainment season was excellent, full of energy, creativity, and professionalism. In particular, Jako, Klaudia, and Willy stood out for their enthusiasm, friendliness, and ability to involve guests of all ages. Their shows, daily activities, and positive attitude created an amazing atmosphere and made every day more fun and memorable. Overall, Mitsis Rodos Village is a fantastic hotel with a great vibe, and thanks to the outstanding entertainment team, our holiday was even more special. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and well-organized vacation.
