This was essentially a budget hotel passing itself off as 4 star one, very dated and in need of renovation, which was happening during the stay. Room was on the 4th floor facing the back of the building, don’t expect much of a view. Room was clean, furniture was in reasonably good condition although showing its age. Aside from the basics, the room included all the mod cons described, WiFi in the room never worked during the stay, spoke to reception who couldn’t get it working so the solution was to connect to a neighbouring rooms WiFi, would have been fine except the WiFi was poor. Paid extra for a room with a balcony but this equated to 6 feet by 2 feet, you could just about get a chair but nothing else. The balcony door was slightly damaged so even when closed and locked it could still be pushed opened, was advised they couldn’t fix it during my stay but showed me a way of forcing it to lock! Hotel gym was non existent, extensive building working taking place so no exercise machines available, not advised about this prior to the stay. The swimming pool looked less than desirable and was tiny and the roof terrace area needs renovating. Hotel had a bar on the roof but always looked to be deserted, didn’t try the restaurant. Location wise the hotel is perfectly positioned to the city centre and the nightlife. The beach is across the road from the hotel. Hotel staff were helpful when needed, no complaints. Overall I would rate this as a 2 star hotel and feel it was misrepresented at the time of booking. Considering the price per night I would not recommend.
