Morasol Suites

Today us our last day here. The hotel is so lovely. Staff very helpful from reception dining room staff and cleaner all smiles and good morning. Sheets changed 3 times since we been here [ only 7 days]. Towels changed every day. Breakfast very good. Location is just right all on flat. Very good value for money. All in all a great holiday. Will definitely be back.

This is our 3rd year at Morosol suites , we obviously love it . Self catering with the benefits of local restaurants on a flat walk . The suites themselves are well appointed and are cleaned daily . There is ample room to sunbathe either by the pool or on the terrace . Most rooms overlook the marina towards the sea . The staff are amazing, the same at reception, pool bar and housekeeping over the last 3 years and most likely more . This year we have a balcony that is partially shaded due to the shape of the building. We have asked to be relocated when possible. I’m confident our request will be met . This place has the friendliest of atmospheres and we look forward to returning next year .

My father‑in‑law lives in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria during the winter, so we usually spend a week here to get a bit of summer and visit him. Before, we always chose Airbnb, but this time we went for a hotel and stayed at Morasol Suites. Positive experiences: - Quiet hotel on the ground floor (an advantage in Puerto Rico). - There were always free sunbeds by the pool — no need to get up early to claim one. - Friendly and efficient cleaners. Helpful lifeguard. Negative: - A strong bad smell in the bathroom. It appeared the first day (Tuesday), then again on Friday, and then Monday. The man at the reception said it had never happened before (what else can he say…), and a technician filled some liquid into the toilet which made the smell disappear for three days. So if you can avoid room 110, that’s probably wise. - We tried the breakfast the first morning; it was okay, but the bacon was undercooked and chewy. The pool bar had good food, but our son got a stomach bug — he was the only one who ate the chicken from the pool bar. - Right next to the hotel there’s a snack bar, and the air‑conditioning there makes a high‑pitched noise every minute. The snack bar is closed on Mondays, so those days are quiet. We might return to the hotel, but now we know which room not to choose.

This was our return visit to The Morasol Suites, having visited 3 years ago. We enjoy Puerto Rico in January and stayed in an All Inclusive hotel and another self catering apartment complex in the middle intervening years, both good quality. The advantage of The Morasol is that it is located at ground level next to the marina. Most properties in Puerto Rico are located in elevated positions which require steep walks to and from them. We really enjoyed our stay this year and have already booked to go back next year. The apartment rooms are of a good size for a couple and the facilities are excellent. We found the bed to be very comfortable. The room was cleaned daily spotlessly. Cleanliness around the hotel is excellent. The availability of sun beds is very good and there’s plenty of space around the pool and on the roof terrace, which was our preference. The staff are very peasant and helpful.
