Stayed here for a week while attending a conference at the nearby Ritz-Carlton. From the moment of arrival to throughout my stay, every member of staff was exceptionally welcoming and polite. Having stayed at some very luxurious hotels around the world, the customer service of staff here set it apart. The location is great for a buzzy city feel with walking distance of The Beach/JBR restaurants, bars, small shops and a basic mall as well as pharmacies and a small grocery store within the mall. The marina is also within walking distance in the other direction with marina mall about 15mins, a much bigger, typical dubai style mall albeit for expats and tourists. The hotel room, on floor 12, executive rooms was a good size with large desk area and comfortable office style chair. There was a small balcony but well sheltered against the scary level of winds you can get with dubai high rises. The bed was very wide and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious as well with a separate shower. Toiletries were OK, not a brand that I recognised. Minibar was locked, only available if you pay a charge upfront. Annoying not to have access to the fridge as I bought some fruit one day thinking I could store it in the fridge not realising that it was actually inaccessible. Breakfast was OK. Usual range of international buffet options but not quite at the standard of other brands. Pool area small but nice as v few other people around. Noise of the city in the background so not a quiet beachside experience but still managed to nap on the loungers. They provide a bag with 2 towels if you want to walk to the public beach nearby. Overall, a good experience and would stay here again if on business.
