I booked a ride from the airport to the hotel through the hotel because my daughter and I arrived at night and it seemed like a safe option. The flight was 50 minutes late and the driver couldn't wait, so I called the number I had been given and the driver replied, "I'm already home, madam." We took a new taxi from the airport, and at the hotel I also had to pay for the ride I had booked in advance, because I had booked it, but of course only half the normal price. Five-star service right from the start. The room wasn't cleaned at all on the first day, so on the second day I ran after the cleaner and asked for clean, dry towels, paper, and water for the room. I told the reception about this, saying that I shouldn't have to chase after the staff in the corridors. As a result, the next morning at 8 a.m., the cleaner was at the door to clean the room. No, we're on vacation and still asleep. Later, when the cleaner had been, there were plenty of towels and paper for several days, and many toothbrushes had appeared, which was amusing since only one cotton swab had been brought. The towels were worn and thin, as was the bathrobe, but at least the slippers were new. Man has been to the moon, but the hotel can't update the lists. Every day, we had the same conversation about whether breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner were included in the package. This isn't the fault of the staff, but rather the managers. Did the room have a view of the city or the backyard? Strangely enough, our window had surprisingly little view of the city, while the other side of the hotel had a much more city-like view. At this point, it's laughable if it weren't so sad. My mother and daughter's winter vacation was pretty much ruined because of a bad hotel choice. The pictures of the pool lured us in... In Finland, this would get three stars at most.
