Serious racial discrimination and hotel management issues！！！

This was my first time visiting the Curei Divaru (formerly Mövenpick) hotel in the Maldives, part of the Accor Group. Overall, I experienced very serious hotel management problems, including disrespect for guests and discriminatory treatment. I tried not to associate it with racial discrimination, but it's a very real possibility. On the evening of May 11, 2026, I dined at the hotel's Japanese restaurant for the first time. Because I was wearing a vest, the staff told me I needed to wear a sleeved shirt. Although my butler hadn't mentioned this requirement, I immediately went back and changed into a shirt with sleeves. However, when I started my meal, I noticed a white man sitting at the next table was still wearing a vest. Feeling uncomfortable, I asked the staff why he didn't need to wear a sleeved shirt. I was told that he had brought his own clothes but had taken them off before dining, but in reality, he hadn't brought any clothes at all. I then inquired why he wasn't required to wear a shirt and where his clothes were. The restaurant gave him a cloak, which he didn't wear until I finished my meal. After this incident, from the initial deception to the eventual communication with me, I felt no sincerity from the hotel staff. At the end of the whole affair, the hotel manager told me he would talk to the guest to wear sleeved clothing, but in reality, the guest was only wearing a vest the entire time. I certainly regret choosing this hotel for my honeymoon after getting married. A good hotel is not just about material comforts, but also about the heart and spirit. I will post this incident on travel forums around the world to warn other travelers to carefully choose this hotel and its group.
