Overall very good stay through Luxury Escapes The good: Rooms great, interconnecting with kids room. Comfortable bed The breakfast options were very extensive, lots of variety and catered pretty well for gluten free The pool was great. The kids areas, the floating beanbags The fitness centre was very good with modern equipment. The Mexican restaurant was excellent. My daughter was sick during the stay. The staff sent her fruit on both days and followed up to ensure everyone was ok and improving The chocolate hour was good, although a bit chaotic (not hotel fault) The random things happening, or birds, dogs, iguanas from zoo / bird park visiting the hotel The kids club was good, lots of different breakout areas The hair braiding for kids was great as well The hotel has been designed with kids in mind, and you can see that which really suited us The basketball ball ring was something different Easy access to beach The security was good The bad: Some of the staff at the main restaurant were a bit muddled during breakfast and dinner services. Got coffee orders wrong a couple of times at breakfast. For dinner one night, the main meal was about 40 minutes delayed (this is being told by 2 wait staff that the meal was 5 minutes away) Then came out uncooked. (Vouchers were returned and staff and manager was very apologetic however) The food options on the Lux Escapes package was a bit limited especially if have an allergy The pool side food was small and took along time to arrive. Not being able to adjust the aircon in the room was a bit strange (unless we missed something??) Overall I would recommend, how we could tighten up in some areas.
