Outstanding Experience

We have just completed our 3 night stay at the delightful Nirjhara resort. My wife and I are blessed to have travelled to many places around the world and have our fair share of ordinary and great experiences. Nirjhara stands above them all. The consistency of personalised attention from initial greeting in the lobby, to ground staff (who keep the gardens looking immaculate) warm and friendly bar staff, restaurant and wellness spa staff, was over and above excellent. Our room, River Pavillion, was luxurious and food also outstanding. General Manager, Alejandro and his team made our stay an exceptionally positive experience. When we we next look for a relaxing holiday Nirjhara will be No.1 on our list. Thank you.

Ultimate tranquil retreat.

Overall, Nirjhara excels at quiet luxury and genuine connection to nature and Balinese culture. The staff are warm and attentive without being intrusive and the entire property radiates peace. A real standout for us was Ambu restaurant, clearly amongst the best food we’ve had in Bali! Every dish was incredible! We also enjoyed their day trip to the Hills of Tabanan, exploring the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Highly recommended Nirjhara for anyone seeking a rejuvenating, off-the-beaten-path Bali retreat - it’s easily one of the most memorable stays on the island!

A serene and beautiful stay at Nirjhara

I was fortunate to stay two nights at Nirjhara on a relaxing weekend in Bali. I loved the check-in experience provided by Ibu Wiwit and her team. I particularly enjoyed selecting a scent from a choice of three to be used for all the room amenities. The room itself was excellent, with its outdoor tub and wooden deck overlooking the water stream. I enjoyed my morning runs through the rice fields, exploring the neighborhoods and local communities. Breakfast was delicious and overall the F&B experience delivered by Ana, Ayu, Gita and the whole team was absolutely excellent. I loved every minute of my stay and will be back again soon. This resort, driven by General Manager Alejandro, is fantastic!

Tranquility, Nature, and Exceptional Hospitality in a Luxurious Setting

Nirjhara takes its name from the Sanskrit word meaning flowing water, and that philosophy is felt throughout the entire experience. From arrival, we were surrounded by calm, privacy, and lush greenery, creating a deep sense of peace. The spa was exceptional—we spent almost four hours enjoying facial and body treatments, finishing with a superb Balinese massage. Truly world-class. Dining was consistently excellent: generous breakfasts and a thoughtful, elegant menu for lunch and dinner. One evening, we reserved the private cinema exclusively for ourselves and selected our own film, which felt both intimate and special. The infinity pool is stunning, but our private pool and beautifully designed villa quickly became our favorite place to relax. The space and privacy made it a perfect retreat. The hotel also organized a private driver and guide for excursions to the Monkey Forest and nearby waterfalls—effortless, well-planned, and deeply enjoyable. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Alejandro Rueda and his wonderful team for making our stay so memorable. We will absolutely be returning.
