Oba Star Hotel

Arrived at the Oba Star Hotel on12th September, staff very helpful and polite showed us to our room. I have to say the room was very small. We wanted to upgrade and would have paid the extra but the manager talked us out of it , saying that we would have to have a double bed. Also that the room would not be that much bigger so we stayed put in room 1508. We are two ladies that travelled together . The food I found to be very nice, my one criticism is that the food was very rarely hot. Which was so disappointing. The fish I had was very tasty loved the fish. On Turkish night they excelled themselves with fantastic seafood, huge prawns, crabs, calamari and Salmon it was extremely good. The entertainment was also brilliant a swirling dervish, and also a belly dancer. The animation team do really well considering that they have such a small area to work with. Everything happens around the pool area. They do aqua aerobics during the day , also table tennis darts and another game called cocktail game. I had the best holiday I have ever had in turkey Alanya , the hotel also has a private beach and beach bar cafe. All soft drinks are free. There is plenty of lovely fresh water melons in huge slices to be enjoyed , you can also have lunch at the beach bar. Chips lots of different tasty salads, burgers buns etc. There is a 24 hour bar at the hotel , also by the pool an area with food. If you prefer you can go to the main restaurant for lunch, I found always plenty of choice , you are sure to find something that you like. I will definitely visit again. Gulay was very helful to us. Gulay is usually around most of the day. I recommend getting the bus on the main road and going to the cable car, that was a brilliant day. We also did a boat trip which was great too. We had another trip booked , unfortunately due to high winds a tree had fallen and we were unable to visit. The agent we booked it with, {which was turn right out of the hotel and directly in front of you just across the road} Yan who we booked it with very kindly let us have our money back. The hotel rooms are cleaned most days. You can get towels everyday for the beach or the pool area. I was also impressed that you got a safe free within the room.

Beautiful hotel, the walking distance to the beach is not even 5 minutes. The weather has been so amazing! The staff are very friendly. I would most definitely return in the future.
