Occidental Torremolinos Playa

Good experience overall, the all inclusive is very good, the staff is very nice. However the Wi-Fi is very very bad. I could not use any app that required wifi whatsoever. It was like this the whole stay for 7 days.

Reception. Super friendly staff. They gave us all the information and details we needed to get the most out of our stay. Room. We booked the Double Room Sea Front View. The room was available well in advance, so we were allowed to enter 2 hours before the check-in time. In terms of space, I felt that the photos from the website do not provide an accurate size of the room. Although it is small, it is beautiful. I liked the size of the balcony which is big enough to chill out and enjoy the sunset. The only thing I think is not appropriate is that the windows do not have a good isolation system. The room is above the scenario where every night shows are being celebrated and they finish at midnight. If you want to fall asleep before midnight that can be hard. The music volume was so high that you could hear the show from the Hotel Puente Real. I ended up adapting myself to the show times and that's something that shouldn't have happened. I'm not gonna give a lower score for this, but the hotel should do its best to accommodate guest preferences in terms of sleeping time. Breakfast & Dining Areas. I have read comments about birds getting into the breakfast and dining area but this is something from the past. The hotel has found a friendly environmental way to keep the birds out of the dining area. I liked this. The staff is super friendly and always replies with a smile, and I notice they hire experienced waitresses. They managed situations like coffee and beverage spills quickly and professionally. Even if you sit at a table which has just been disoccupied the staff notices this quickly and prepares your table fast. Food. The food is amazing. The quality of the food is really good and they provide you with a good variety of hot and cold dishes. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are available every day. Every day and night they do their best to offer you different options of meals. Juices, beers, and red and white wines are also included at dinner. At breakfast they also offer champagne. Pool. There are 2 pools. The main one is in front of the beach and the other one is at the back end of the hotel. Both of them are nice, but they don't have enough Parasols and Sun Lounger chairs, so it's a problem to find a spot if you don't arrive at the pool by midday. The pool in the back has a big area specially designed for kids which is nice. Client service. This is what I liked the most. They make a huge effort to make you happy. The way they treat you and the response they provide when you have an issue is remarkable. We were using the hair dryer and it suddenly stopped working. I rang the reception to report this, but when I did, I said that it was urgent. It turns out that they replaced the hair dryer in less than 30 minutes.

Hotel was lovely and clean and had a great pool area and nice beach front location. Was quite far from the town but we weren’t bothered by that. A handy little shop round the corner. Food was great had lots of choice and something different each night. Snack bar was ok but quite poor quality food and ice cream. Umbrellas can’t be moved so beware of this when getting a sunbed. Sunbeds were available most of the day but there was a run for it in the morning and the ones in the bad spots were left. Always the way but there was plenty more beds on the grass area which was much more quiet. Overall a good stay had a nice relaxing time here.
