Ocean Eden Bay

My husband and I stayed at Ocean Eden Bay for a week, we chose Preferred and had an ocean front room. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. For reference, we have stayed at many all inclusives including 8 different Sandals, 5 Rius, 2 Excellence and 4 Secrets brands in the Carribean over the last couple of decades. This was our second Ocean H10 resort experience. Our transfer to the resort was timely, we were the last hotel stop so had a slightly longer transfer time. Check in was fast. We were approached by the person selling the memberships about joining the breakfast the next day and I was firm that we were not and would not be interested and she moved on. Ocean Eden Bay doesn't have designated butlers - you use WhatsAp and any butler can respond. Even so, Omario was our butler who brought us to our room and he checked in with us from time to time during our stay. He was nicely visible and not intrusive, helped us with dinner reservations, made good recommendations and was just a nice guy to chat with. Our room was directly above the Preferred Lounge on the 2nd floor directly across from the elevators. I was a little nervous about the potential noise for this location, but we didn't experience any noise at night or in the morning whatsoever. And we found it very convenient to be close to the beach and the Preferred Lounge. We'd request the same room again. Our housekeeper, Shanika, introduced herself when we arrived at our room. The rooms were kept nicely clean, towels were replaced as needed, and Shanika took extra care to make some cute towel hearts with flower petals on our bed and placed my slippers on a mat by my bed. Our rooms were clean by mid-afternoon each day. We didn't miss the evening turndown experience we have had at other resorts. The preferred beach was nice. Not a lot of fish, but the white sands were lovely and the loungers were comfortable. We took advantage of the drink service and didn't experience any issues with delays. Mid-day after lunch we moved to the pool area and stayed in the preferred section there until we left to go get ready for dinner. The pool entertainment was fun to watch. We ate a the buffet, the French restaurant, the Italian restaurant, the Preferred Lounge, the Steak house and Marlin, all on the Eden side, and at Red Snapper on the Corral side. Both my husband and I were extremely impressed with the food. We never had a meal that we didn't like, and think that this may have been the best food experience we've had at any of the all inclusives we've stayed at. A major plus was that the deserts were fabulous - I often find that all inclusives have deserts that look pretty but are tasteless. I found out that Ocean Eden Bay makes all of their breads, pasta and deserts on prem. My favorite two restaruants were the Preferred Lounge - my husband ordered the Red Snapper which was cooked to perfection, and I absoultely loved the Coconut Panna Cota, and the Italian restaurant. I think I had the best chicken parm in my life there. We also had lunch at the Jerk Hut on the Corral side, but found that we preferred the Jerk chicken at the Marlin restaurant better - just a preference on the spices use. Again - we were pleasantly surprised that we liked every single thing we ordered in every restaurant we ate in. All of this was topped off by the staff. We found the staff to be amazing. Friendly, and helpful and truly an asset to this resort. We spent the evenings after dinner at the Preferred Lounge bar. Our preferred bartender, Ritchie, was wonderful, and our server, Renae, was delightful. I think that the staff makes this resort very special. Angus, Shernel were another two we found remarkable, and I know that I'm missing many more. The only downside to this resort is that unlike other resorts that have designated smoking areas, Ocean Eden Bay doesn't. There wasn't any smoking inside the buildings but at the beach and at the pool there was smoking anywhere. We didn't experience anyone smoking on the next door porch for our room, but heard another couple complaining about their neighbors smoking outside. We were able to avoid most of this by wisely choosing places to sit and it was fairly windy when we were visiting so I think this helped keep the smoke down. We would definitely visit again.

The overall experience at ocean eden bay resort in Trelawny Jamaica was excellent. Accommodations were great,and the staff was exceptionaly friendly and happy to help But the most kudos goes to manager Gorgette ! Her help and service was so above and beyond the norm.The purpose for the visit was to celebrate my mother-in-law's 75th birthday. She and her staff saw to it that it was a special and memorable occasion! 5 big stars all the way!

Food and services of resort very good and always something for everyone in buffet restaurants staff very friendly and helpful good size clean pool and hot tub area and when staying in adult ocean Eden bay allow to access restaurants in ocean coral side

Delicious food, great hospitality staff is great and friendly, this my second visit weather was beautiful, swimming pool clean and beautiful, area is clean and beautiful beaches also wonderful and clean rooms clean and arranged beautifully

This is the second time we visited Ocean Eden Bay and will go again!!! We were group of 8 and we had a great time. Customer service, cleanliness, room service, food and everything else was amazing. We went for 5 nights but could have stayed longer! Special mention to Monique who is the Guest Service Manager supported right through our stay.
