Very tranquil and relaxing

General good experience, but amenities could be improved, beach area is too small end not much to do. Some areas showing lack of maintenance or simple abandoned and deteriorating. Restaurant was very good, Koodo to the chef, the food is very good, although the menu could be improved with more variety, but generally speaking, great. The staff all over the hotel were amazing, very friendly. They go beyond their duties to help. Very happy with the attention. Thank you everyone for an amazing job.

A place for relaxation right on the beach.

We stayed at Ocean point for 2 weeks. It was an amazing experience, we felt welcomed by all the incredible staff, many of whom had become friends by the end of our stay. The resort is quiet, with a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful location. The impressive entrance is actually an old sugar mill, and we learned the history of the area from the information booklet on display. Our room was well appointed overlooking the ocean. The sound of waves and frogs lulled us to sleep at night. The decor could benefit from some tlc, which we understand is planned during the forthcoming closed season. There’s no kettle in the room (I did bring my own) however the coffee machine in the lobby is pretty good once you get the knack of it. Fresh water is also available in the lobby, it’s best to bring your own water bottle/flask. The pool was a good size and clean. The 2 beaches are lovely, especially the farther beach beyond the restaurant, where swimming was safe and the sand soft. Sun loungers on beach and poolside were readily available and no need to be ‘claimed’. The poolside cabanas were extremely comfortable. Food in the restaurant is extremely good. We were all inclusive, and found the meals to be well cooked and beautifully presented. A 2 week rotation of menu might be better as it became a little repetitive especially at lunchtime. Service was quick and efficient. Lanie on front of house, and Spice the restaurant manager deserve recognition for their hard work and pleasant hospitality. It is truly the wonderful staff who make this resort the special place it is. Bar staff Quame and Andre are brilliant, the cocktails are good and they’re happy to create ones ‘off menu’. A massive storm ended our stay, but the aftermath was dealt with swiftly and good humour. Work on the restaurant roof is urgently required but we were assured this will be a priority once the season ends. We hope very much to return in the future, and a big thank you to everyone at Ocean point for making our holiday special.

Fantastic time

Ocean Point Beach & Spa Resort was amazing! Small, boutique hotel resort right on the beach. The food was phenomenal. They only have one restaurant where everything is served (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Portion sizes to me were perfect, not too much or too little. Delicious food! There are plenty of sun beds around the pool and beach so don’t need to reserve. The pool and beach areas are so clean. The bar and restaurant staff are all amazing and so friendly nothing is too much and they go out of their way to make sure you are looked after. Thanks for an amazing stay, we can’t wait to return.

Ocean point is a quaint small independent hotel which was why we chose it. There are so many reasons to come to this hotel , with the amazing beach/location and the staff being the top 2. Fed up of all inclusive cattle markets and swim up pool bars that give you a rash ( if you get what I mean) thus is an A La Carte all inclusive with table service and hostesses that go above and beyond - Spice is the restaurant manager who is so helpful and her team - Markie,Laine and a big shout to Andree the most top barman who mixes cocktails like a demon - any you ask for off the list he is more than happy to make and they are usually lethal. Check in was very smooth and we originally had a smaller room with a gate to the pool , u fortunately the air con failed to we were moved to a larger room with a garden deck area and hammock. Now the pros & cons…. Pros : Friendly staff Location More intimate Beautiful beaches Food Cons: Food a little repetitive after10 days so a 2 week rotational menu would be good Snacks in the afternoon - not enough fruit on offer and perhaps pastries /pizzas etc to those who want it and ice cream station Pedalos & paddle boards Weekly bbq as the diners are amazing Bring good mosquito spray as they don’t tend to fog the greenery Try using local taxis / guides rather than those provided by the hotel as they are usually a better price. 6 of us hired a taxi & guide for just over 5hrs at a cost of 180 USD and we went to some amazing places , ate the local food and drink and met some wonderful local people Evenings are a bit low key but are what you make it - weekly karaoke is fab and resident DJ’s are ok. Would we return -a big fat YES The hotel is going under refurbishment so I hope it doesn’t change hugely by addresses the point at above

Just Amazing

We stayed for a weeks all inclusive at this amazing hotel. From arriving into reception and the greeting we received our first impressions were good. We stayed in room 104 which had a gate to the swimming pool. The room was spotless and cleaned every day so a big shout out to the cleaner. There is sun beds a plenty around the pool and beach so don’t need to reserve. The pool and beach areas are so clean. The bar and restaurant staff are all amazing and so friendly nothing is too much and go out of their way to make sure you are looked after. The food quality and choice is amazing as you order from a menu for all meals and served to you fresh and hot, there is no buffet which we liked that all meals are restaurant served and always daily specials. All the staff are a credit to the hotel as from the reception to the cleaner to the maintenance staff and the restaurant and bar staff they are all friendly and make you feel welcome. We cannot wait to return. Thanks for an amazing stay,
