Recently returned from a week at this resort. Two adults and two teens for a girls vacation. I can't say enough about the service and hospitality! The grounds were fantastic! The food amazing and the drinks were great! We started our vacation with an upgrade to a swim up pool. This was a fantastic trade off as the beach was continuously being cleaned of the weeds washing ashore. This is no fault of the hotel and is an act of nature. The Rooms were spacious and stocked. The pools were clean and our private pool was greeted with friendly waitresses for drinks. The food was delicious and plentiful. Plenty of selection and variety. There is a convenient tram that takes you from one end of the resort to the other. We enjoyed full body massages and were given special prices for booking early. Exceptional Service throughout! Take a trip off the resorts and humble yourself to the reality that these people work very hard for very little. Tips should be given for services and are greatly appreciated. All in all, we booked through Expedia and had ZERO problems. Definitely would consider another trip to this resort! Trip type Vacation • Family Rooms 5.0 Service 5.0 Location 5.0 Hotel highlights - Great value Rooms -Very Spacious! Clean! Nearby activities -5th Street Playa Del Carmen was great! Senior Frogs is a must stop! Go and see a cenote and take the trip to the Temples/Ruins. Safety- We never felt unsafe. In the resort or in our travels. Walkability -A Tram is available to cut down on the walking. This is a rather large resort. Food & drinks -Plentiful drinks with very accommodating bartenders. Both the reservation and buffet meals were excellent with fantastic service and presentation. Noteworthy details - It never hurts to ask for room upgrades. All you can do is ask. Our asking led to a swim up pool. Which I might add is well worth the investment.

well your thinking of booking a holiday .. Mexico 5* ocean rivera paradise doesn’t that sound nice ? Hotel is situated within a run down area of Mexico with no shops/ restaurants near by , however with a 15 minute walk to the nearest shop you can buy snacks, sun creams & much more at a fraction of the price sold in complex ( wouldn’t walk it at night alone ) Upon arrival the lobby is nicely decorated & cool with plenty of refreshments on offer but don’t touch the premium alcohol ( extra charge) First impression Staff looked miserable & didn’t interact with holiday makers however considering the heat understandable , they do work hard From the moment you arrive in Mexico it’s money, money money . Baggage was swiped from wife & dragged to our coach he wanted a tip Coach driver wanted a tip Paid environment tax , Hotel reservations had no change so kept change Bar staff expected a tip almost every drink & preferred the USD Room maid / fridge replenishment cost tip if you wanted more drinks . Shops on complex charge as they wish & expensive , YES ! you guessed it “no change either” Booked excursions through TUI rep at hotel trip cost 10200mxp approx( £403) Online cheaper through TUI booking £378 + 10% off Accommodation & complex severely out dated in desperate need of a refurbishment. ( see photos) no usb chargers on sockets , apart form lobby . Hotel buffet tried to cater for all but sadly failed certainly not best quality food & pastries were dry ( experiences busy time throughout the day , where food is scarce with no top up) Entertainment poor .. best nights entertainment for 11 nights was karaoke. Swim up bar severely in need of attention ! Not all bar stools were firmly secured with sharp edges on tiles , at one stage tiles around the bar were missing , uneven pool surrounds . certainly not the best swim up bar I’ve visited ( after watching 20 people around the bar for 5 hours only 4 got out for a visit to the toilet, so make your own mind up) Right no more negativity! You must book the Xplore package . Well organised from pick up - drop off excellent day out for the family ( photo package ) requires a bit of attention I ended up with 10 photos of complete strangers but big thumbs up! Chichen icha ( ancient wonder of the world) yet again pick up from hotel lobby a very long day excellent experience & fantastic tour guide A must for the family route 66 American diner & steak bar, excellent food & willing staff . Sorry if you think my comments are harsh but this is my opinion ( traveled as family of four) if you have a fussy teenager you will struggle to satisfy their hunger . Book all excursions through TUI before travelling & take the discount. Conclusion- right if your considering booking this hotel for your holiday you will have a lovely time but at most Ocean Rivera Paradise certainly not 5 * on a star rating maybe 4* at a push,

JULES AT EL BESO IS AMAZING!

I can’t say enough great things about Jules from el beso entertainment staff at this resort! From the moment we arrived, he brought incredible energy, enthusiasm, and positivity to every event and activity. Whether it was pool games or evening shows, Jules made sure everyone was included and having a fantastic time. He was friendly, approachable, and genuinely passionate about making our stay unforgettable. He was professional, yet fun and spontaneous, always ready with a smile and a laugh. His talent, creativity, and hard work truly elevated the resort experience. He went above and beyond every single day. Thanks to him, we left with amazing memories, lots of laughter, and a desire to return soon. If you’re looking for a resort where the entertainment team makes you feel like family, this is the place!

I have just returned back from a 2 week stay here at the hotel. I traveled with my husband, 2 kids and in-laws. This was our first time in Mexico, traveling and booking through Tui who class this as a 5 start hotel. After what I now think this is really a 3 start at its most. The food was very repetitive, there was only really 2 themes in the buffet restaurant. Mexican or American. The plates were dirty and still have food from before on them. Glasses would be the same with states of lipstick. The food was not cooked right through. Staff would only give you a service if you tipped that’s even to get water on the table. One night my daughter got a pork chop and it was raw. Bread was stale unless it was breakfast. Natcho chips where also as if they had been laying out all day. The queue for food at breakfast was terrible also. This being said our whole group got unwell. Starting with my 10 year old daughter with her experiencing extreme sickness and diarrhoea. This left her in the hotel room for 24 hours. It then made it way round our family quickly. My husband has suffered the worse out of us as he suffers with colitis as it is his stomach is still in pain and is seeking medical help back home in the UK. One night we whitnessed a gent being sick in a bin at the main buffet restaurant. Then another time a lady was sick on the floor in the same restaurant during the breakfast rush. We have been traveling with Tui for years and after speaking to other brits at this hotel their thoughts and views mimicked ours. The rep was as much use as a chocolate fire engine and everyone else who dealt with her during their stay agreed. She was just interested in selling overly priced trips. Our hotel room itself was average, we had ants in the wardrobe. On our last day we had a leak that maintenance did attend but never resolved the issue. Just mearly put silicone over the patch in the ceiling. Luckily we were checking out the next day. Our in-laws had a huge hive of bees on their balcony and it took complaining 3 times until they were moved rooms well into the 2nd week of the holiday. If you’re a smoker you can only smoke at the very few smoking areas, so this can be an issue depending on how heavy you smoke. The Eden pool we used our first week as we didn’t know the premier pool could be used also by non premier guests. Eden pool was disgusting hairs all within the pool. Overly packed at times of the day. The beds were like sardines all in a line. The swim up bar was always busy with the same people not moving for hours so no toilet breaks were clearly made. One day a lad was sick in the pool at the bar, this only then caused the pool to be closed for 4 hours for that day. With by the looks of things only chlorine was added. The tiles round the bar was off and dangerous. Overall I would not book at this hotel again. Huge disappointment and let down.

Upon arrival, I found the room extremely hot, with the thermostat already set to 60°F (16°C) and the fan on high, but the air conditioning was barely functional. I informed our butler, Hugo, who arranged for maintenance. Despite their visit and the addition of a dehumidifier, the issue persisted, and the dehumidifier frequently shut off, requiring me to empty it multiple times overnight. Hugo attempted to move me to room 3435, but it was equally warm. Additionally, on Sunday, the shower in room 3436 had no warm water, and turning the knob fully stopped the water flow entirely. By Tuesday, I fell ill with an upset stomach and shakiness, exacerbated by construction fumes. I reported these issues to Angel at the front lounge, who was already aware via Hugo and promised to inform Yessica, having me complete a complaint form for the customer service team in Ireland. Despite the efforts made, my discomfort led me to leave early on Thursday, missing a planned Xcaret Park excursion with the family I was traveling with on Wednesday due to my condition. This was not the vacation I expected.
