The hotel: Extremely friendly staff always happy to help! Bar staff/entertainer staff and all other staff. Entertainment: At night there was always entertainment, singers, dancers, bingo etc, this usually began at 9/10pm. Daytime, they played water polo everyday, but this isn’t suitable for younger guests. My son is 10 and couldn’t really stand up in the area they played so he couldn’t play. Darts board was only available at certain times, but this wasn’t to enjoy as a family but as an organised activity, with everyone playing. We once saw it free and started playing and were told we couldn’t. They also come out once a day to do a short dance around the pool. We also saw water pong being played once. We could see a basketball net that looked like it could be used for the pool but this was never used. Pool: The pool was an ok size, the shallow end is very crowed. We spent most of our time in the deep end. There is a baby pool section. One day during our stay a baby pooed in the baby pool and the hotel closed the entire pool for the rest of the day- this was around 2pm so wasn’t ideal. Pool closes at 7pm. There is sometimes a lifeguard, but not often. So don’t rely on them to watch kids. The Room: the hotel was of a satisfactory standard, the rooms were adequate but slightly dated. The bed for a child was extremely uncomfortable. I did find a spot of blood on one of the sheets. But I took my own pillow cases and fleece throw blankets/towels. The shower door wasn’t functional but that was a minimal inconvenience. The level of cleanliness was satisfactory. We didn’t spend lots of time in the room anyway. You do get a mini fridge but this doesn’t work when you’re not in the room as the electric turns off when you remove the key. Aircon was free of charge in the room, but again only worked when inside the room. There was also tea/coffee making facilities in the room however these didn’t get replenished. The food/drinks: Breakfast 7-10am - we struggled with this, not many options we liked. But they do pancakes and eggs etc. Lunch 12:30-4 - we used the pool snackbar, pizza chips and chicken strips. Burgers of the grill if you eat beef. There was always a rush on at 12:30 when this opened. Also, I didn’t like how people reserved the tables and chairs in shade by the food. They leave towels over chairs to secure tables, when really it should be eat and move. So we ended up eating lunch about 1:30/2 daily to avoid the rush, and so we could sit in the shade and eat. Dinner 7pm- 9pm- food was ok, I would say the eating area is very hot and could do with some extra ventilation fans/air con. As this would have made it more enjoyable. Ice cream: At other all inclusive we have been to there is an unlimited ice cream bar, here there isn’t, you can have an ice cream in a packet from the freezer at 4pm on the dot. Everyone runs for them so you have to be quick to get one. Drinks: The alcohol isn’t branded and must be local to the area, very strong taste and harsh on the throat. I stuck to soft drinks mostly. Very Limited selection of cocktails, others available for a fee. We took our own reusable cups, as we have had a previously experience of sickness on holiday (not here). Staff were more than happy to fill them. Additional charges: Wifi- this is not free and is charged. I think I paid £6 for 3 days. Lockbox’s in rooms are also charged at £3 per day. Checkout is 12- Late check out is £40 extra, however they didn’t have any available, so allowed us to use spa shower facilities before we left for the airport. We did book in the spa, we had the Turkish bath experience with massage. Very nice. Our son all had similar but was covered in chocolate. This cost £110 Euros. Sun beds are open from 7am and people put towels on as expected. However there was always plenty. There was also lots of umbrellas available to use around the pool too. The hotel is located literally 2 min walk from the beach (sand and stones). Water is lovely and plenty of room. There is a shop onsite. However your a stones throw from loads of shops and bars. Prices to eat/drink out are roughly the same as England. 2 soft drinks and a beer in a bar was €16 we had a Turkish ice cream and 2 normal ice cream cones from a stall and it was 900TL. Tips: take your own pillow cases, cups, blankets and towels. Buy a roaming package with your mobile phone provider, bring a suitcase with a lock and buy all your floaties before you go! Overall we booked this holiday last minute and didn’t check reviews etc beforehand. We were pleasantly surprised. The location is brilliant and would definitely stay in a similar location again. If I was to stay here again I would take more money to eat out. But if you’re on a budget this is probably a really great option!
