I have never left a bad review in my life until today where I feel I have to! 1. On arrival reception were pretty ignorant, not sure if this is down to nobody speaking English however we were not made to feel welcome as a young english couple. 2. Food and drinks, firstly the food was disgusting forcing us to spend extra money every night to go and eat out at restaurants. No drinks menu other than cocktail/mocktail menu and the staff behind the bar didn’t speak english either so we didn’t end up with a large selection of drinks. Also the cocktails tasted cheap and came in flimsy plastic cups. 3. Photographers- The worst part of the holiday was getting constantly haggled throughout the daytime and nighttime by hotel photographers trying to sell us pictures and never taking no for an answer. 4. Reception and hotel staff- Once again not able to speak english and very rude and unpleasant. We needed help on the last night by a member of staff who had his music on, he ignored us until eventually he turned his music off his phone and asked us, IS THIS IMPORTANT? Never have we both felt so disrespected before. 5. Hotel watersports- We wanted to do padel boarding which we agreed on £20 for me and my girlfriend to go into the sea, however when it came to paying at the last second the man on the till charged us double and refused to refund us half the money back and was very aggressive! 6. Check out- Check out time is 11am and we had a late flight so when we asked if there’s any showers we could use the hotel reception were once again arrogant and after a long wait told us there’s no showers available which led to us not being able to shower after a long day! Overall the hotel has beautiful views and has the potential to be amazing but these are only some of the negatives I can think of out of a week where we had a holiday ruined by a hotel. One positive from this hotel is the cabanas where we had a great day and the worker was very nice running the cabana, however the cabana is an extra £150 for the day so isn’t really included in the all inclusive experience.

Impolite staff at the reception. When I arrived to check in early in the morning, I saw some suitcases near an employee and asked him if I could leave my suitcase there until check-in. He gave me a displeased look and said that, actually, suitcases are left at the other end of the room. (None of the staff helped me or pointed me in the right direction.) When I was checking in, I let the female staff member know that my brother would be arriving and that we wanted to arrange an additional guest with an extra payment, and I asked how to do this and how much it would cost. She told me to wait until the next day when a Russian-speaking manager would come. (I speak English perfectly well too, by the way — she just didn't want to deal with the issue.) To get into my room, the female staff member told me to wait in the centre of the lobby and that once an employee was free, they would escort me. In the end, I had to ask an employee myself to take me to my room, because no one was around. In the room, I discovered that I only had one bed. I immediately called the reception and said that my brother would be coming and that I needed two beds (my voucher states that I should have two beds). The female staff member replied that I would have to resolve this issue the next day with the Russian-speaking manager. The next day, I approached the Russian-speaking manager. She greeted me unfriendly and asked questions like, "Why didn't you just book a tour for two in the first place?" (which is none of her concern, as I'm simply asking to add an extra person for an additional fee) and whether we would be sleeping in the same bed (I stressed to her once again that I had requested two beds from the start and that we would not be sleeping in one bed). The girl called someone and said that adding an extra person to the same room with one bed would cost €109 per night, and changing to a room with two beds plus adding the extra person would be €190. This price is outrageous! For that kind of money, I could just book another separate room. Now about the room: housekeeping is mediocre. The floors are dirty. You walk around in white slippers and they end up completely black. The room is dusty, and there was someone's hair hanging on a corner. There's no warm blanket — you have to request it. From my room, very loud music can be heard from time to time at night (sometimes until 3 a.m.). It's impossible to sleep; I've had to wear earplugs.

Not enough sun loungers, had to lie on concrete floor.

Hotel was full due to Eid. Sunbeds are located around each pool and on the beach. My family and I (2 adults, 3 teens) walked around each pool and the length of the beach, there was the odd individual sun lounger but not anywhere near enough space or beds for 5 of us. I went to speak to Guest Services who said they would get someone to bring sunbeds to us at the pool. Waited 3 hours, lying on the concrete floor. No one came. Someone walked past and joked about us looking like beggers and offered to give us a cup to collect money in. Went back to speak to the manager of Guest Services but nothing happened because once again the explanation was hotel was full. Going on holiday to 4.5/5* hotel I expected to be able to relax but this happened for 5 days of our 7 day holiday. There were guests sitting in upright chairs around the main pool because of the lack of loungers. Food was excellent hence 2*. Lack of sunbeds ruined our relaxation, especially with 2 teenage girls.

We come to orka for our honeymoon and was honestly disappointed ☹️. I definitely wouldn’t give it 5* more like 3*. The hotel views, style and cleanliness was good however food and entertainment was shockingly poor. Wouldn’t return back. Location wise is fine so long as your mobile enough about a 20 mins walk to icmeler centre.
