Fantastic hotel in a picturesque location

This was our 4th visit to this hotel and this time members of our family joined us. As usual we had a fantastic time The staff were extremely friendly and recognised us from past visits. Nothing was too much trouble for them and every evening they managed to arrange for us to sit together. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. The cocktails are amazing in the Blue Bar which is a lovely place to sit in the evenings to relax with beautiful views. I would recommend booking a sea view room. We have booked again for next year. We very rarely return to a hotel so for us to have booked to return for a 5th time says it all.

Hands down the best hotel 👌🏽

This is my 4th time at Orka. I've tried other hotels in the past, but none compare to this one. The location is perfect. I love the walk into Icmeler, to do a bit of shopping, and it only takes about 25 minutes, and that's with me stopping to say hello to every cat I see 🐈‍⬛️ The rooms are spacious, clean, and tidy. The maid service is brilliant. My bins were emptied daily, my mini fridge topped up, and fresh towels in the bathroom. They are super friendly, too. It was my birthday while we were out there, and they gifted me a huge plate of fruit, along with a lovely card wishing me a happy birthday 🥹 The food is great! Breakfast is probably my favourite, so much to choose from. The catering/waiting team are incredible. Nothing is too much trouble, they are so attentive, and always so happy. They all fell in love with my granddaughter, Betty, who turns 1 next week. When they found out her birthday was coming up, they brought out a beautiful cake for her, complete with candles and sparklers. Just so, so, lovely ❤️ The pool is fab 👌🏽 I only went in it a couple of times, only because I prefer the sea, and each morning around 6:30am, I headed off to the beach to have a little swim, while everyone else was sleeping. The beach is so close to the hotel, a hop and a skip, and I was there. I was usually accompanied by the ginger one-eyed cat 🥰 he would come down to the beach and sit and watch me go into the sea. Beautiful cat ❤️ The bar staff were super. My tipple was either a Cinderella, or a coconut kiss mocktail 🍸 The photographers were amazing! They did our family shoot towards the end of our stay, and the photos were beautiful! One of the photographers really stood out for me, his name is Sully. He is the kindest, sweetest, man. My family had a lot of time for him, we built up a really good friendship with him, over the 7 days. He was amazing with Betty (my granddaughter) and would always come and find us on the beach, to say hello, or sing a song to Betty. He's a very special human being ❤️ I didn't go to the evening entertainment. I'm always in bed early; but the rest.of the family did, and they said it was really good; especially the street dancers, and the acrobatics team. I honestly do not have a negative thing to say about this hotel. My family love everything about it....see you next year ❤️

Some good some bad.

It’s a great hotel have been before but would like to warn people of a few things that weren’t the same as when I went in 2023 starting with the worst one in end April to beginning of may all the rooms are on the same ac unit that is set to warm so anytime you close the balcony door it’s boiling first room we were in was steadily at 32°c all night and as you can imagine was incredibly uncomfortable went to reception 6 times asking for them to help and being told they were all on the same system and they couldn’t change to cold which to me seems a tad futile why would you have individual ac units on the wall if you can’t actually make them the temperature you want. Second problem we had was that they actually forgot to refill our mini bar every day we were there and had to go every day to ask for a refill as I take medications in the morning and at night and needed a drink for them. Third problem we had a couple of days they actually didn’t clean our room which left the bin overflowing and cause we got moved after the 32°c room fiasco we’re on a lower floor which meant we actually got ants even though the balcony door was closed. Fourth problem is if you are a picky eater this is not the place for you lol one of my party is fussy and all he could actually manage to eat in terms of things that were bland and not full of vegetable or very suspicious looking meats was chicken nuggets and chips. The pool bar slightly better however is usually freezing unless you get there right as they are putting it out. Fifth problem is that they have recently put a heater into the main pool which is great but it is at best 4°c warmer than the freezing cold pools in end of April to may time. Now I’ve done a lot of cold water swimming but the person I went with has not. He could tolerate about 5 minutes being in the heated one and about 2 mins in the non heated ones. Now on to the good points. It has lovely views if you get a sea view room view of mountains and crystal clear sea. It’s peaceful and is the most greenery looking hotel along the strip into ichmeler which is good. They have a jetty into the sea which is beautiful. Plenty of sunbeds along the beach so you will always have somewhere to sit. The shops on the hotel are AMAZING specifically the bag shop and clothes shop can also book out a scooter from on the hotel though only into ichmeler and the man running that is lovely. All the bartenders actually look like they want to be there and are happy and speak incredible English although be prepared to be flirted with if you are a woman going up alone. Big shout out the the vast team of chefs who do work tirelessly the main dining hall has about 20 chefs and they cook it in front of you. Hotel reception other than the whole room fiasco are lovely and pretty helpful can go to them for a taxi and they will get one for you. Very big hotel so you are getting your steps in I was averaging around 7k steps a day. Have night entertainment and day entertainment and the people who run that are funny and make you smile. Also have a daily dance bit at the pool aimed at children where they do the crazy frog 😂. The bathrooms are big and you get free cotton buds. Also free sewing kit in the room just a simple one but still. Free matches and an ashtray if you want to smoke on your balcony. There’s also a market on the hotel that sells suncream goggles floaties ice creams crisps ect. All in all I’m giving it a 3*I would go again but maybe when it’s a bit warmer so the ac isn’t on heat lol

Beautiful location and a lovely hotel.

Fantastic experience overall. We really liked the hotel and the beach. The indoor swimming pool could have been a lot warmer. Very friendly staff, good quality food and there was a good variety options. Special shout out to Anna at the front desk for being so helpful and friendly. Heaven, Zerrin, Domdom, DJ, Uber and Barbie were great on the entertainment side. Poyraz too, big thank you.
