When you find something that works on all levels for a vacation, you really should take the opportunity to visit again if possible, and we've just arrived back from our 4th, and certainly not our last trip to the beautiful island of Maadhoo. The service is exemplary from arrival to departure, every member of staff plays such an important part in this seamless operation. The training, I would imagine is thorough, and diligent. This time we stayed in the 2 bed pavilion, which offered us ( mother and daughter) ample space to set out our bits and bobs and extra wardrobe space, extra bathroom and the added lounge which differs from the 1 bed beach villa which we had previously. However, these villas accommodate more than just 2 people so ideal for family or 2 couples travelling together. I've sat down to try and find some negatives to give a balanced view, however, I'm struggling, but for me the negative was leaving and having to wait until next year to return. The staff, who are just wonderful, I will mention below and please forgive me if I've forgotten anyone. JDV, the vibrant, funny and gorgeous Danielle, the talented and attentive Prajul, the wonderfully kind lady, Therika and last but not least, Hussain. You really make this place work all day long. M6m, the staff here turn a meal into theatre and you feel truly looked after and appreciated, so thank you to Theresia and the rest of the ladies... I really must take my notepad with me next time! At the Palms, the wonderful Calvin, who not only made my daughters day with his culinary expertise but totally spoilt us. Traditions where we had amazing dishes and service. Dinesh, who has recently joined, was such a kind man checking each and every day that we had everything we needed, thank you also to Vipin. There were other new members of management that we interacted with and had wonderful service from, but yet again, I really should carry that notebook around. The men that tend the gardens, the beach, housekeeping and staff at the spa are all brilliant, and the many people behind the scenes that we don't get to meet. Now, to our butler, Shamoon... It was a pleasure to meet you and thank you for everything you organised, you are such an asset to Ozen Life. Finally, my thanks to the crew that took us back to Male airport, we were the only 2 on the speedboat and 25 mins into our journey they asked if we had managed to see the dolphins, which we hadn't. He asked, would you like to see them? Of course we would, so the boat was stopped, and for 5 mins saw the most spectacular show from the dolphins surrounding us and then backflipping as we sailed away. We were helped from the boat directly to our check in, and that's where our fairy-tale ended. Elizabeth, you honestly run the dream island and the dream team. My warmest wishes to you all.
