I recently stayed at the Palm Beach Hotel for two weeks, and I can honestly say I will never recommend this place to anyone. First off, I booked through Agoda! They advertise a non-refundable policy. The hotel itself is a disaster. The rooms were dirty, with a strong and unpleasant smell that resembled something like animal waste. Not only were the rooms dirty, but the smell lingered throughout the hotel. The hotel is not clean, and I had doubts about their cleaning standards throughout my entire stay. To make things worse, there's no way to open a window for just a bit of fresh air. The air in the rooms was stale and musty, which made it incredibly uncomfortable. If you're someone who likes fresh air or even just a little bit of ventilation, this is not the place for you. On my first day, I came back to the hotel after being out for a while, and to my surprise, a staff member wearing a hotel uniform rudely stopped me as if I didn't belong there. He asked where I was going, and after I showed him my key card, he reluctantly agreed that I was staying there. Talk about lack of professionalism and respect for guests. Wifi? Almost nonexistent. The wifi was down most of the time, and when it did work, it was slow, barely connecting at night. I couldn’t even use my phone properly to do basic things like browse the web or check emails. Definitely not something you want when you're staying somewhere for a while. Parking fees were another issue. I paid 30 AED per night, but they didn’t actually park the car at the hotel. Instead, they park it 13 minutes away from the property, and if you need your car, you have to go pick it up yourself. At night, they would drive the car back to the hotel and finally park it and I started noticing that they were not as careful with the gas level. Definitely shady! Another thing I found frustrating was the guest policy. If you have any visitors, you have to pay a 100 AED fee. This is something they don’t tell you upfront, so be prepared for hidden fees when you check in. customer service at the front desk was appalling. Every time I spoke with someone at reception, they acted like they had no idea what customer service even was. They were rude and unhelpful, which just added to the overall terrible experience.
