Palm Garden Hotel

I travel every year with a group of students (all boys by the way) and this was our first time staying here and I will definitely be coming back. The hotel is budget friendly, the rooms were very clean, spacious and if you plan on cooking it had all the amenities from spatulas, cutting boards, pans, pots, , baking dishes even a cheese grater and can opener. There is house keeping daily and they did a great job. AC worked well. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. We arrived before the standard check in time, due to our flight, and we were able to check into the room once they were ready at no extra cost (thanks!). Beautiful tranquil grounds, with a clean small pool and restaurant. This hotel is ideally located under 5 minutes walking you are close to a supermarket (Massy Stores), Gas station, Pizza parlour (Lil Ceasars), bars, restaurants , duty free shopping (Bridgetown duty free, formally known as Cave Sheppard and even an ATM (First Citizens bank). The only issue we encountered was that on the upper floors the hot water takes long to get going when time for a shower, but if you let it run for about 5-10 mins, it will come. I will like to thank and big up the hotel manager Ms. Maynard who took the time and had patience in answering every one of my back and forth emails and who sealed the deal in my decision to stay here. If you are looking for somewhere comfortable, safe, conveniently located and adequate for an average visitor and group, this is the place to be! Thanks palm garden and hope to see you all next year.

Simply the best!! The hospitality is second to none here. BEST fishcakes on the island! I LOVE Palm Gardens and the team there - can’t wait to visit again and again!! I visited on my own and felt safe and like I was amongst friends. Slept amazing and perfect recharge!!

This has been an amazing stay comfortable, friendly and felt so safe for myself and my son. We loved how small and intimate it was. Lovely bar and food it's been the best time of our vacation spent at this humble little place the staff are gracious and friendly. We have loved it and hope to return one day

Pros: 1. Some of the staff were nice. 2. Short 5min walk to the beach. The hotel has some real problems. Stayed in “one of the better rooms”, but Cons: 1. There was a hole in the wall, on the far wall close to the floor (about 4in wide) that was just stuffed with foam. No actual patchwork or fix. 2. The ceiling is cracking in the corner of the bathroom that looks like it could fall in. 3. The tops of the windows do not close so you can heat any noise happening outside (other guests, car horns, music, etc.) and you will constantly smell cigarette smoke from people smoking outside. 4. The door did not shut properly so there were some cracks to the outside additionally it did not lock properly so there is an old bolt lock at the top that barely worked. 5. No hot water. 6. TV in the one room did not work. 7. Beds were lumpy and the pillows were paper thin. 8. Kitchen was recently remodeled, but some of the cabinets were installed crooked and wouldn’t open. We ended up leaving a day early as sleep was tough and overall the room was bad.

Basic budget hotel within easy walking distance to the Gap, beach boardwalk, restaurants, stores and bars. Clean rooms with a mini fridge, toaster oven, coffee pot, and loads of long term international guests that return each year. Small pool and garden area for relaxing. Friendly and accommodating staff at the pool bar/restaurant and the cheapest beer prices we found. The AC unit worked well and drowned out any traffic sounds from nearby roads.
