Official Description

The hotel is located in Tulum, nestled amongst the trees, overlooking the magical white sand coast of the stunning Caribbean. The restaurant, bar and cabañas at the hotel are surrounded by tropical plants and white sand walkways, creating a very informal retreat with a natural atmosphere. With less emphasis on architecture it has created an environment where guests can rest their mind and body and replenish the simple pleasures of the soul. Renovated in 2010, the youth hostel features a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a car park and bicycle hire. All rooms are en suite and equipped with a shower, double bed and a balcony or terrace. The hotel has a beach volleyball court and a beach football pitch which guests can use free of charge. It also offers massages on the beach (for a fee), snorkel hire and other water sports equipment which come at an extra cost. Sun loungers and parasols are laid out on the sun terrace and on the sandy beach for use. Water sports available include diving, windsurfing, sailing and catamaran boating (fees apply to all).

Disappointing Customer Service and Rigid Policies We booked this hotel in Tulum three months in advance, excited for what we thought would be a relaxing and luxurious getaway. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, we were unable to travel. We reached out to the hotel well in advance to explain the situation and requested either a refund or the option to reschedule our stay for the following year. To our disappointment, the hotel refused both options. Instead, they only offered to extend our stay for a very limited time — during the rainy season, when travel conditions are far from ideal. This felt more like a way to fill rooms during low demand rather than a gesture of understanding or flexibility. For a hotel that charges premium rates, we expected better customer service and empathy. Emergencies happen, and a little compassion goes a long way. Sadly, this experience has left a very negative impression, and we won’t be recommending this hotel to others.

Eric was an amazing server at the hotel restaurant! He waited on us everyday and was always attentive and super helpful. If you are staying here, you should definitely make sure to get him as your server/bartender. 10 out of 10 service from him!

This place is ideal to take in the natural beauty of Tulum. Access to the beach is easy, I swam in the ocean every day. There's also lots of places/spaces to hang out by the beach, whether you want to swim in the oceanside pool, take in the beach club vibes, or find a shady place to relax by yourself. I stayed in one of the little cabanas, it was small but totally comfortable, I had everything I needed. My only criticism was that the windows in my room did not have screens so I didn't feel comfortable leaving them open at night, but the air conditioning worked great and I was totally comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful, Pedro, Dany, Martin, Gerardo, Felix, and Freddy were especially generous with me. My room was clean, well maintained, and refreshed every day. I really enjoyed the natural bath products they supply in the bathrooms, they felt luxurious and smelled like honey. I ate the fresh and healthy "jungle breakfast" at the restaurant each morning and really enjoyed the food and the staff. There is also a little town walking distance down the road with mini markets, atm, restaurants, and some activities if you need anything. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to unplug and enjoy the natural beauty and energy of Tulum.

Such an amazing place, the staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. Angel is a staff member here, and he is so kind and generous. He was always helping us and making our experience the best it could possibly be. 1000% recommend coming here!

Friendly service, nice art to look at, dj during the day, delicious food and drinks. Nice cabanas on the beach. It was quiet with not many people when we went in April. Would recommend the ceviche, oysters, and juices. The fish was very fresh and nicely prepared.
