In all the years we’ve been traveling (and we always choose high-quality hotels), we were absolutely blown away. This was the honeymoon for my wife and me, and from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, we were treated like VIPs. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped — clearly designed for “you and me.” (Two showerheads, a bathtub, etc.). The “you and me” concept is the central theme of the hotel, and it’s truly carried through in every detail. Beach and Pool: There’s a man-made beach where the sea flows into a kind of cove. The atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful, and it’s the perfect spot to relax completely. There’s one unheated pool and two that are heated. One of the heated pools is an infinity pool with a view of the sea and nearby islands — and wow, what a view. Absolutely heavenly. There are plenty of sunbeds for everyone, so there’s no need to rush or reserve with towels (fun fact: any personal belongings placed to “reserve” a bed before 10 a.m. will be removed and handed to reception). That said, we always arrived around 9:30 and most chairs were still available. There are also several private spots (“love nests”) designed for just you and your partner, surrounded by nature and with sea views — definitely worth trying. Another great touch: every sunbed has a service button. Once you press it, someone comes right away to take your drink order. Food and Service: We honestly have no words — it was simply perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was professional and knowledgeable. My wife works in hospitality, and everything was done by the book when it comes to etiquette. Staff always asked about allergies, showed the wine bottle before serving, gave a short explanation, and let you taste first. Breakfast was delightful, with plenty of variety. You had a full continental breakfast including a proper English breakfast. Pancakes (English or American) were made fresh to order — always warm and delicious. There was always fresh fruit available as well. Lunch could be enjoyed at two restaurants: the Stay Bar and the Peninsula Restaurant. The Stay Bar offered sandwiches, paninis, burgers, fish and chips, etc. The Peninsula had pastas, pizzas, salads… plus a stunning sea view overlooking nearby islands. Dinner options included the Main Dining Hall and several à la carte restaurants. You’re given the menu for the Main Dining Hall ahead of time — if it doesn’t appeal to you, you can still book one of the à la carte options. The Main Dining Hall had a variety of formats: some evenings were full à la carte, others full buffet, and some offered a mix — with starters and desserts à la carte, and the main course buffet-style. We really liked this concept; it added variety to the experience. When it was à la carte, there was always a section with cold meats like salami, salmon, and chorizo — a great extra touch. The à la carte restaurants included XO (Japanese) and The Peninsula (mainly seafood). (The Cove is another option, but we didn’t try it.) Both were delicious and of very high quality. At XO, you selected a starter, then received eight pieces of sushi (which you could choose yourself), followed by a main course and dessert. At The Peninsula, you also chose a starter, main, and dessert — with a strong focus on seafood. Both restaurants delivered excellent food, with clear attempts to elevate the dining experience to a more gastronomic level. About the Service: As mentioned before, the service was impeccable. One person who truly stood out was Yodish, who served us at the beach. He made our experience even more special. Always friendly and smiling, he quickly noticed our habits. After just two days, he proactively brought us a bottle of sparkling water as we arrived, and around 11 a.m., he’d appear with a Coke Zero and a Fanta — without us needing to ask. That level of attention and professionalism was incredible. He also cracked fun little jokes and enjoyed chatting, but never in an intrusive way. Thanks to Yodish, our stay had that extra spark of joy. You can really tell the staff are highly trained in service and etiquette — everything from how dishes are served, to how wine is presented, was spot on. No complaints at all. Water Activities: All water activities (except catamaran trips) are included. You can go kayaking, take a glass-bottom boat ride, use a pedal boat, try kite surfing or paddleboarding, learn to sail, go sailing in a small boat, or take a snorkeling trip out to deeper waters. The equipment is in excellent condition. We personally went kayaking and snorkeling — both were amazing experiences and definitely worth trying. Also good to know: while you’re relaxing on your sunbed, no one comes to hassle you. There are no pushy salespeople trying to get you to sign up for activities, no aqua gym instructors dragging you into something — just peace. If you want to join in, you can walk over to the pool where the trainer is ready to welcome you. But if you’re here for quiet, you absolutely get it. In Conclusion: This was the perfect honeymoon for us — we enjoyed every second. It was simply wow. The best trip we’ve ever taken. After busy periods at work and the stress of wedding planning, 12 days at Paradise Cove wiped everything away. It’s just the perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy quality time with your partner.
