This is our 4th time here, the last time was 2019 so it had changed a lot, we opted for half board as I don’t drink and have had surgery so can’t eat much either, the food was OK not as nice as previous years and have to agree it was lukewarm, but so many food choices especially the salad bars.. bfast was by far the best meal of the day as so much choice for my daughter who loves a variety. We spent most days in the natural pool area (adults only my daughter is 14 but we were never questioned but she can easily pass as 16) it was lovely and quiet up there but towards the end of our holiday beds were becoming full earlier.. the main pool was bedlam people waiting from 8am (doesn’t open until 9) watched from the balcony one morning and found it hilarious how fast people were running for the beds.. I genuinely do believe this pool should be for family’s with under 14,s (especially during uk school holidays) only as from past experience when my daughter was younger it’s the only place with all the activities for the younger ones and I don’t feel it’s fair adults with no kids take up the beds.. Rooms were spotless and cleaned to a high standard every day, we didn’t do the night time entertainment so can’t really comment on that. We used the supermarket at the back of the hotel (it’s part of a small shopping complex) it was easier to access from the main pool using the back entrance to avoid the steep slopes. If you like a drink I’d highly recommend going AI as they are about 8 euros for a cocktail which isn’t bad for the odd one but soon adds up. Our flight was early evening we checked out of the room at about 10.30am so could spend a few hours at the pool, I did say I’d settle my balance when leaving the hotel but they had taken it from my bank but apparently it’s protocol that if you’ve not paid the balance by 12pm they will automatically deduct from your debit card I wish I’d have known that as didn’t want to be stuck with euros coming home and had the cash to clear the balance The hotel has gone from smoking to a non smoking hotel which I wasn’t aware of until I got there I vape , and that was also not allowed, but plenty of people doing this openly (not sure if they were aware of this non smoking policy) but a few people were given warnings of 100 euros to pay if caught. Overall I like the hotel and possibly return again as felt safe as a single parent with a young adult. The staff were always accommodating absolutely no question about that, it was nice to see a familiar face at the hotel of a young man called Jesus he has been there from day dot, he always had a smile on his face and such a lovely young man, it seems all other staff have disappeared. Oh if half board and paying by card at the bar, check your account asap as I was charged twice for one drink as the machine was playing up..
