A nice, calm and peaceful resort set in a lush green environment. We have stayed here for three years in a row, first in a larger double room wich was perfect for us. Later we have stayed in the supriour cottage wich is the choice for us now. The resort offers hotel rooms as well as cottages. Yes the resort has been around for some time so in places it is a bit worn, but it is still a wonderful feeling to get away from the night life and lively sounds of town to enter the resort area and just here the cikadas, tree frogs and other evening sounds from nature around you. We spent several evenings sitting on the balcony just taking in the sounds and scents. Since it is a lot of vegetation and a lagoon/small lake on the location you can also expect a bit of urban wildlife. In the waters you can see monitor lizardsm and there is a multitude of butterflies, birds and one morning we even had a monkey on our balcony on the 4th floor! One thing my wife and I really enjoyed was the balinese style shower in the cottage. For a northern European like me, it is a rare thing to be able to take a shower outdoors. The food is ok and the menu is set so you can get thai dishes as well as european dishes. Just remember, there is better options out in town. The staff is wonderful tho. Super friendly and accomodating. Our rooms have been nice and clean, with good bathroom and maybe a slightly too hard bed at least for us. I know that is a matter of preference though. Since the town centre is just up a short road the location is perfect for walking to the beach or just to walk around town. Bus stop and tuk-tuks are also just around the corner. In the vincinity you also have the ticket booth for longtail boats to the islands or different beaches. Would I go there again? Most certainly.
