I can honestly say that the staff at the Phulay Bay was unlike any experience that I have ever had in all of my travels. Put simply, they were amazing. From remembering drinks, dishes, etc, the attention to detail was second to none. Our butler, Jake, was always available with a smile and went above and beyond on a daily basis. Housekeeping by You and Mookie made sure that the room was always sparkling. As others have commented, the bed is the largest I've ever seen and can easily sleep 10. The grounds are majestic and the views are breathtaking. The staff at the spa made sure that our time spent was memorable. Even though it rained the entire time we were there, the pool looks beautiful and the pool restaurant had great staff and delicious food. I got sick prior to arriving at the resort and Henry (from office manager) offered suggestions on food, drinks and had the hotel car take me to a local pharmacy. However, when my symptoms didn't get any better, he insisted that I go toe the hospital and had Faisal from Loss Prevention accompany me to help translate. Both Henry and Faisal were truly amazing and Henry even offered great suggestions for our next stop in Bangkok. Prior to the trip, I was debating to stay at the Banyan Tree, but I'm so glad that I chose Phulay Bay. If in doubt, just book Phulay Bay as you will not be disappointed. Are there things that could be improved? Sure, it would be great to have more outlets near the bed or USB connections, but aside from these minor nitpicks, I can't think of anything else.
