Above average All-inclusive, except for beers

One of the best all inclusive I have been. Drinks are great and not watered, made with premium liquor. Staff is friendly and attentive (most of them), good selections from breakfast to dinner. I ate sea food every day, including jumbo shrimp. Entertainment could be better. Not a lot to do at night. For beer drinkers it’s a pain. Only one type in the whole resort. None of the bars had XX Amber beer, that’s a shame!

Nightmare vacation

I’ve stayed at several resorts in the Cancun area as well as other countries, this was by far the worst resort I’ve ever stayed at. The beach was beautiful, the rooms were pretty good but that is where it ends. The service is spotty, there are some very good servers but there are some that flat out do not care. I had one server at the pool call me several derogatory names in Spanish when I asked for a drink……he assumed I didn’t understand what he was saying. The food is absolutely horrible. I read several reviews of people getting sick and thought nah it’s all a bunch of complainers……it wasn’t. Half of my group got sick the last day of the trip. When I addressed the concerns with the desk, they didn’t seem to care much. I would highly suggest to avoid this resort at all costs. For the price, there are much better places to stay. Marriott should be ashamed to have this resort on their portfolio.

Great vacation!

The location of the resort was perfect, the beach was easily accessible. The rooms had everything I needed and was clean when I arrived. I found the value to be fair, I wish there wasn’t up charges for the activities but I still enjoyed myself. The service was excellent, everyone made me feel welcome! Specifically Edson at the water surfing, he was super friendly and helpful and made my stay fun. True professionalism. Juan from Nexus tours was so friendly as well and we enjoyed chatting with him. The restaurants were really nice; although I found the Mexican restaurant to be poor, as the food didn’t reflect the true mexican culture; the taco at the Braza breakfast were excellent.. The entertainment at the resort was not bad, some of the shows were a bit misleading. nonetheless, I would recommend this resort to anyone. It was very relaxing and lively.

“Spacious Rooms, Good Food, but Beach Amenities Lacking”

Mexico - Family Side (Non-Star Class) Rooms: Spacious with great configurations—double sinks, enclosed toilet, etc. We stayed in Building 28 and didn’t find it humid. Entertainment: Lots of activities throughout the day; evening shows were enjoyable, Laila made us feel so welcoming. Food: Plenty of options for all tastes. Our favorite à la carte restaurants were the steakhouse and the sports bar. Spa: The hydrotherapy area was really nice. Pool: We didn’t use the pool. Beach: Smooth sand and consistently cleaned of seaweed. Great bar service but there is only one on the beach. However, not ideal for beach lovers—no nearby bathrooms (you need to walk to the pool area), no showers to rinse off sand, and no permanent umbrellas (you have to request staff to set one up).

Our family really enjoy this hotel. It’s got great rooms, fantastic views, and the beach is beautiful white sand. The entertainment team is fantastic. It’s one of the highlights. This was our second time and we found that they improved with their maintenance and the staff. We love the cabanas at the family pool. Our private butler Enrique was excellent and offered us his special drinks. It’s worth the money. What we disliked was the fact you needed to be at the pool by 6-7am to be guaranteed a pool chair. And it wasn’t even the high season. This may be on purpose to get people to buy in to Starclass. The buffet is very good. The restaurants a la carte are ok at best. We preferred La Cocina.
