Fantastic place, the staff make this experience a whole new level they cant do enough for you, the rooms cleaned every day, drinks flowing from the bar all day, entertainment staff are outstanding and the staff at the restaurants look after you. We will definitely be returning. The beach has a lot of seaweed which I am sure you have read but this isn't the hotels fault and the beach staff work around the clock to remove this daily. The food at the Rodeo grill was our favourite we ordered lobster and seafood platter as extra and it didn't disappoint. The show at the tappenyaki always goes down well and the food is lovely. Both times we had a massage at the hotel and the service and quality was very good. We made a lot of friends on the trip and nobody had any complaints either. The bellboys are always helpful and do there best t ensure everything runs smoothly day to day. If your looking for a holiday on the beach I would be mindful of time of year for the seaweed but if you like a pool holiday this is the place for you. We tipped the cleaners and they made sure our room was spotless and fridge stocked daily. Like I say we enjoyed it that much we attended back 3 weeks later both times we had no complaints. Trips we went on were the boat trip which was all inclcsive and golf buddies great to see the other island. Cirque de Soliel. Xcaret Senses. Coco Bongos. Loved all of them. Special mentions to Kevin in the buffet on our first trip in April, Adolfe on the reception for sorting our requests, the bellboys for always checking on us - Enrique,Javier,Auary, Flavio,Cristian, Israel. We miss everyone and we will see you soon ton make more memories. Victoria & Gary xx

Review of the Yucatán Princess Resort – A Disappointing All-Inclusive Experience (2.5/10) I recently stayed at the Yucatán Princess Resort, hoping for a relaxing, all-inclusive getaway in what should have been a beachfront paradise. Unfortunately, my experience fell drastically short of expectations. While there were a few positive aspects, the negatives far outweighed them. Food and Dining: 1/10 One of the most disappointing aspects of this resort was the food. Despite advertising itself as all-inclusive, only a limited number of restaurants were open — and even those operated on an every-other-day schedule. This meant guests had extremely limited dining options on any given day. When food was available, the quality was shockingly poor. Dishes were bland, repetitive, and, at times, barely edible. Dining should be a highlight of any vacation, but here, it was more of a chore than a pleasure. Beachfront Experience: 0/10 One of the biggest letdowns was the beach. The resort’s beach area was completely unusable due to an overwhelming accumulation of seaweed — with piles reaching over six feet tall in some areas. This made access to the water impossible and ruined any chance of enjoying the beachfront, which was one of the main reasons for choosing this resort. It was clear that there was little to no effort made to manage or clean the beach area. Resort Amenities: 3/10 While the layout and appearance of the resort were generally appealing, the usability of the amenities was frustratingly limited. For example, the main pool closed at 6 PM on certain days — unusually early for a tropical vacation spot where guests often want to enjoy a swim in the evening. Combined with the already restricted dining and beach access, this made the resort feel more restrictive than relaxing. Service – Mixed Experience: Bellhops and Room Cleaning: 10/10 | Bar Staff: 2/10 The one group that truly deserves recognition is the bellhops and room cleaners. They were friendly, attentive, hardworking, and consistently helpful. Their professionalism and kindness stood out in an otherwise disappointing stay. However, the bar staff was another story. Many of them came across as impatient and unwelcoming, often appearing annoyed by simple drink orders. The overall vibe at the bars was cold and transactional, not what you expect from an all-inclusive resort aiming to deliver a top-tier guest experience. Overall Rating: 2.5/10 Despite a few standout staff members, I can’t recommend the Yucatán Princess Resort. Between the terrible food, unusable beach, limited restaurant schedules, early pool closures, and poor service at the bars, this stay was more frustrating than relaxing. The resort looks good in pictures, but the reality was a letdown. There are plenty of other options in the Riviera Maya that provide better food, friendlier service, cleaner beaches, and an experience that actually feels “all-inclusive.”

Great Resort, avoid seaweed season

The resort is a 50 minute drive from Cancun international airport. This was the first time my wife and I had visited this resort, we visited at the end of May, staying 14 nights. Checkin was efficient, with a welcome drink provided whilst completing registration, but information about the resort was lacking. We had been allocated a room in block 1 the quiet block so I was happy. The room is huge and very well appointed, with all the amenities expected, however the room furniture was basic and quite battered. It would have been preferable to have bedside drawers rather than tables We did find half full bottles of water in the mini fridge which meant we had to inspect the seals on items to check they hadn’t been tampered with before consuming. There weren’t enough coat hangers in the closet for guests who were staying 14 nights. The resort and the rooms are maintained to a very high standard. Standard WiFi is basic, but guests can upgrade to faster WiFi at cost. I haven’t encountered this practice of having multiple speed options for years, this is a 5 star resort and I would expect full speed internet as the norm. Seaweed is a major problem at this resort during certain months, it swamps the beach and comes in faster than the resort can handle, unfortunately the accompanying smell is also an issue. This effectively rules the beach unusable. Breakfast service in the buffet on day 1 at 08:00 was very poor. The restaurant was quiet, yet we were shown to a table that hadn’t been properly set, no glasses. There were lots of food items missing and no staff to ask for coffee and water. It took 15 minutes to get a drink. Unfortunately the poor service was the norm, even at lunchtime. The management team need to resolve these issues asap as this was the worst feature of the resort. Food quality throughout the resort is excellent and service in all restaurants except the Yucatan Buffet is good. The drinks are all recognised brands. The entertainment team work very hard, the theatre shows are mainly dancing but there is also live music and dancing in the Plaza bar and of course entertainment throughout the day. Guests of this resort can use the facilities of the sister resorts, we did visit and enjoyed the bars and one of the restaurants but were reminded these are family resorts, not adult only, so we chose to stay at the adults only resort. We had looked at this resort a number of times and always chose a different resort, the main thing putting us off was the fact that there is no focal point within the resort, with the exception of the main pool. We had good time at the resort, guests can easily find quiet or lively areas dependent on their mood. The acid test is would we come back, the answer in yes, but only outside of the seaweed seasons when the beach area can be used.

We had an amazing stay and received amazing service from the staff. The shows in the evening were great! Especially enjoyed the Grease Show and and the Mexican Show. The performers were very entertaining and interacted with the audience. The swim up rooms were the best! And the pool activities were lots of fun!
