We loved this place so much we ditched another hotel booking a few days later and came back. Everything was spot-on, lovely clean rooms, robes and towels provided, great choice of breakfast and friendly staff. But the highlights were most definitely the gorgeous surroundings with 360 degree stunning views, the elephants bathing in the river next door, and watching the monkeys being cheeky of an early evening. It was so entertaining watching one take a left-over coconut drink and sit finishing it off on a sun lounger. And unlike the monkeys at Railay, we found that if we didn't interact them they were no problem. Also just sitting on the terrace overlooking the lake listening to the frogs, crickets and birds was just wonderful. The hotel provides kayaks free of charge and you can feed the fish from these which was a lot of fun. The fish were huge and kept leaping out of the water. Finally, the tuktuk service into ao nang was an added bonus. Can't recommend this place highly enough, especially if you have children or hard-to-please teenagers. My two teens fell in love with the place (and there's table tennis in a nice air-conditioned room to occupy them when they get hot and grumpy).
