Just returned from 10 days at Porto Bello Beach as a large family group, including 3 young kids. Everyone had a great time. The family bedrooms were really spacious. With 2 separate areas, 1 with twin beds and the other with a large king. It was a bit unfortunate the bathroom and front door being in the twin bit where the kids slept but thankfully didn't cause us any issues. The air conditioning was lovely and quiet and it had a lovely walk in shower. Only downside was being in block 1 we only had views of the entrance and the car park. We also backed onto the amphitheatre which was noisy until about 11pm some nights. The whole site was so clean and there seemed to be cleaning staff on duty all the time. Both they, and the whole staff team are absolute stars and made us feel really welcome. The buffet was really varied and of good quality, with the al la carte restaurants offering even better quality if you wanted it. Again, the restaurant staff were super friendly and really.coulsnt do enough for you. The pool was really large and we didn't find the cold saltwater to be a problem, especially as it was so hot. Would definitely recommend water shoes for the kids though, the ground round the pool and on the beach was quite rough in places and got very hot as well. It was really busy during our stay but we never struggled getting sunbeds. The water park didn't have loads to offer the toddlers but it was a good bonus to get in for free and have a slight change of scene. Food and drink isn't included there but it was easy enough to pop back to the hotel when we were hungry. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss. Some of the shows were brilliant and the kids loved the disco, but the quiz and karaoke nights didn't seem family orientated. And the acrobatics was cancelled during our stay. Only other thing to mention is you are on the flight path and planes do fly over very regularly. It never bothered us once we were asleep but could be an issue if you're a light sleeper so remember to pack ear plugs.
