Potato Head Suites and Studios

Fantastic. Minimalist design, yet modern. Not only was it a mini-bar, but they had spirits AND things like ginger beer, bitters, and other ingredients to create your own cocktails in the room! Even had the recipes and every tool you need! Beds comfy, TV great, thoughtfully placed plugs and light switches. Shower was spacious and great pressure. Sunset roof bar was great. Dining options were fantastic. Had an area to listen to old records, a cool library with eclectic books and decor (The Dome). Breakfast was included and it wasn't some terrible buffet. Ala cart, with great choices and flavors. Definitely more of a chill/lounge vibe to the beach club. Not crazy, party vibe. Different than Finns. Great place to stay. Highly recommend!

My favourite hotel I have ever stayed at. It was much more expensive than other hotels but you get what you pay for. Breakfast was amazing with unlimited options and such a great range. Service is second to none with staff getting back to you so quickly. Not to mention unlimited filtered water which is such a treat in Bali where you need bottled water. As an Australian you get used to having tap water everywhere so it was nice being able to use a reusable water bottle. It definitely is the kind of hotel where you can stay on campus all day. There are a variety of workshops and events that we took full advantage of. I am not a pool lounger but when you have such a nice view from the pool it becomes a great opportunity to spend some time on a daybed. Highly recommend the Jamu making workshop, the Follow the Waste tour + workshop and all the wellness events. I found that our stay was great value when you look at all the inclusions.

I had an amazing stay at Potato Head Hotel and couldn’t be happier with the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The service was outstanding — friendly, efficient, and always with a smile. What impressed me the most was the hotel’s strong commitment to sustainability. Their recycling and eco-friendly practices are not just for show — they are truly embedded in everything they do. It felt great to stay at a place that cares about the environment as much as it cares about its guests. The atmosphere is unique, the design is beautiful, and everything feels thoughtfully curated. I’m so happy I chose to stay here, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone who values comfort, creativity, and conscious living!

1,) supposed to be a five-star resort. The first week I stayed in the Balil Beach resort and Hotel. It's was The amazing and a much better location period 2.) to get into the resort there is a 2 block entrance road. To get out to the main drag you had to take a shuttle. Have fun waiting for the shuttle. Waited as much as 10 minutes 3. On 2 occasions they forgot to clean our room. We had to call them. 4. On one occasion they clean the room but the coffee cups and the various drinking cups and the water bottles were never taken and or filled. It became a thing we had to call in order to get proper service. Which by the way you want them to do it when you're not there! 5.) this is primarily a massive resort where you have to walk huge distances to get to the breakfast that's included. And to be honest I eat pretty much everything and this menu sucks! And the menu never changed. Same crap everyday. 6.) there were many issues, in our room. In order to fill indoor drain the sink you had to go underneath and raise the bar. 7.) on a positive note the staff was very friendly. And I've got a stack of apology letters from them for all the times they screwed up. 8.). Location wise it was marginal. The hotel was hyped up to be a center of party and attraction. Never saw it the week we were there. 9.) oh, did I tell you it's open to the public. Our first day we went to get a spot on the bar and they said it's all reserved by the public. We then moved to completely vacant area with cushioned seating and I was kicked out of there too. Got an apology letter the next day in my room. 10.) I prepaid the room. And it was a sweet with a private pool. It turned out wasn't private. There were rooms that could overlook it. Oops! 11.) at this point I was ready to forgo my very expensive week prepaid to go back to previous resort which I loved. I don't know how the hell they get a five-star rating I'm a frequent flyer and traveler this place was a two-star hotel at best

Good spot. Friendly staff and enjoyed time by the pool and relaxing - was there for screening of a documentary at Klymax which is on the property. Recommend, 2 night stay was perfect for what I needed. Room may have felt a little small if I was with partner but was very well appointed.
