My stay at Potato Head was one of the best holidays I have been on, if not the best hotel I've stayed in. Can't fault it. After reading about Potato Head on Broadsheet Australia and learning about all the eco-friendly initiatives they use, I had to go! Great food, amazing service, amazing architecture and gardens. Very relaxing and cannot wait to go back.

The staff were friendly and very professional. The rooms are fantastic and very clean. We were surprised with some free goodies. With the Beach Club next door, the beach on our doorstep and excellent proximity to the Seminyak hubs it is a great location. I definitely recommend the larger Ocean View Room. We will look forward to coming back!

Amazing hotel

We had a fantastic stay at Potato Head. Super attentive and kind staff, food was incredible. The breakfast options were one of the best we’ve had at a hotel. The infinity pool is large and spacious and even when day beds were full they were super organized with a waiting list. The welcome gifts were a nice touch. The room had everything you could need and we loved the cocktail making. We ordered ice to our room every day and made some nice pre dinner drinks. I would recommend the ocean view rooms with balcony hammock if your budget allows. Number 18 in world hotel! Super unique.

Frustrating Issues During Birthday Stay at a Top-50 Hotel

Stayed for a birthday trip. The design and location show promise, but repeated basic problems caused significant disappointment. Room Problems: Water kettle broken (no hot drinks). Soap and lotion pumps not working. Balcony faced construction—constant noise made it unusable. Beach Front Restaurant (Day 1 Breakfast): French Toast on menu but sold out. Wrong food/drinks delivered to my table (not ordered). My orders incomplete—missing items or undersized portions. Kaum Dinner: Neighboring table dripped water all meal. Water glasses unreplenished (staff chatting nearby). Birthday blessing/cake delayed until bill request, after 15min self-seating wait. Late Night Call with Do Not Disturb Notice: I used TV for sleeping music after raising speaker connection issue twice (unfixed). At 2:30AM—despite DND—staff called claiming my TV too loud, waking me despite quiet playback. Early morning intrusion added to exhaustion. Front Office Manager Yoga did handle some concerns professionally via WhatsApp—credit there. Overall, avoidable lapses soured the experience. Note for special trips: standards inconsistent and all the way miscommunications between their staffs—messages from all enquiries all time misaligned and different, create confusion more than answers.

The experience was fantastic. We just spent all the time during our stay inside the Potato Head complex because there are too many things to do, enjoy, eat, etc. I’m quite impressive how they take care about all the details!
