Good hotel but fails in lots of areas Accommodation is great, spacious, sunset pool villas, be cautious of the currents, need to be a strong swimmer, low tide is low and can risk cuts on coral. Very large house reef, great action. Other side of the island has high breakers strong winds and is noisy. Large island and unable to walk all around by beach due some beach erosion and the staff accommodation not being in centre of island as normal. Food is not 5*, Breakfast is limited to large buffet or small good healthy breakfast in one restaurant (with shorter opening time closes at 09.30). Lunch buffet, pool bar or an la carte which we felt pushed towards with lack of choice. Everyone forced to main buffet restaurant on Friday evening which simply can’t cope with the volume, same menu but with seafood added but mostly at a supplement. We had one outstanding dinner at the vegetarian restaurant which was very surprising. If expecting gourmet you will be bitterly disappointed, food is good but not great. Drinks selection is good but had run out of certain wines, as staff have limited knowledge of types of wine alternatives did not measure up. Entertainment left a lot to be desired, awful nightly singing at the pool/buffet restaurant so we avoided at all costs, or chilled Ibiza music is sunset bar which needs to be made much larger to cope with the numbers as the sun goes down. Activities are okay however one of reasons we picked this resort was it had a golf simulator which is extremely poor, broken and missing clubs, no opportunity to play courses and staff have no idea how to work the kit, total waste of time. Nice touch is you are given a credit for $20 for laundry enough to clean 3-4 items. 30 minute add-on if book 1 hour treatment, this was great but very expensive at $280 for 100 minutes. You also get a choice of sunset fishing trip or cruise, we booked a sunset cruise but advised 1 hour prior it was cancelled due to needing at least 4 passengers, we did complain and the excursion went ahead, we are so grateful so it was the best part of the holiday, the captain and staff were brilliant and searched for dolphins, within 15 minutes were surrounded by a sea of them who swam alongside for 30 minutes and the best sunset of our visit. Thank you. Staff are hit and miss, some good but far too many not interested at all, we didn’t really feel welcomed or valued, more of a nuisance. Struggled to see where you can justify your website statement of “The Most Generous All-Inclusive Resort in the Maldives. Felt like a 5* hotel which was excellent when first opened but not keeping up with customer needs and living on historic reviews. This is our 10th visit to the Maldives (5th to a 5* resort ) but we will return but not to this resort I’m afraid.
