Queen's

Family of four stayed here for a single night prior to flying home. We had been in Dubai staying at the Palm, however with an early back to the U.K. we elected to find a hotel closer to the airport for our last night. Loyal to Accor we began our search and chose the novelty factor of staying on the QE2. We arrived late afternoon, so a relatively short stay on a half board package. As Diamond members we were upgraded from the Captains Suite to a duplex cabin - very welcome to have the extra space. Accor all loyalty was all applied perfectly. Welcome gift in the room, comp drink vouchers although children aren’t allowed in the on board British style pub. So we spent our evening exploring the ship, this is where it’s pretty evident the ship is run down and very very tired. Empty venues including shops despite being shown in the map. It’s eerily quiet! The buffet both for dinner and breakfast was average but served a purpose. What I will say on the positive front is the QE2 is exceptional value. A suite for a family of four, evening meal and breakfast for circa £150! Let’s also be honest, if it wasn’t for the UAE and Dubai taking guardianship of this historic ship, it would have been scrapped in the U.K. The port area is being subject to a lot of improvement and building works. This made it difficult for the Uber to collect us! That said I sincerely hope once the port works are complete and the area has more footfall, perhaps this will help to breathe life back into a rather sad QE2.

Our second stay aboard the magnificent Queen Elizabeth 2 truly solidified its place as our go-to sanctuary. Just as it did when we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, the QE2 once again exceeded our expectations, providing the perfect escape we needed to de-stress and simply breathe. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth and genuine hospitality. Janvi at the front desk was an absolute ray of sunshine, welcoming us with a bright smile that instantly made us feel at ease. Dining at Lido was a delight, with every dish proving to be as tasty as we remembered. The culinary experience, coupled with the ship's unique ambiance, made each meal memorable. The QE2 isn't just a hotel; it's an experience that consistently delivers. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already looking forward to our next visit. We will most definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed a four night stay in this grand, Clydebuilt ship. Huge room, absolutely spotless bed linen and fabulous shower room, great buffet breakfast too. We were well looked after in the dining room, particularly by a lovely young indian waitress Sejal Dhiwar. Such a wonderful, caring young lady, could not do enough to make you feel comfortable. We think she was fairly new onboard but she will be a great asset to the QE2 Hotel. A Young porter by the name of Bikram, from Nepal, was extremely helpful too. We also took the heritage Tour conducted by Chris, very informative. All in all a very nice short stay on this iconic ship/hotel.

The Queen Elizabeth 2 Ocean Liner is anchored in Port Rashid, in Dubai. This is a very, very interesting and luxurious ocean liner. We found that you do not need to take the QE 2’s expensive Heritage Tour. We were very hungry so we simply booked a table for lunch at the Lindo Restaurant, and we were able to board the QE 2 on its short Gangway up onto the Queen Elizabeth 2 which is enlightening and gives you a special feeling as you enter one of the most famous retired Ocean Liner’s that has ever existed! Also, we saw many of the sights on the Queen Elizabeth 2 by simply walking to the Lido restaurant on the Quarter Deck. We saw the: The Chart Room and Bar, other outside areas on the Q Deck, plus the Lido restaurant has many of the original art works on display. What was also very, very interesting was the large building that you enter outside the ship which appears to have the Ships Hotel Reception Desk and Concierge Desk. In this reception building has many models of other famous ships; artifacts of many ships including the Queen Elizabeth 2. In addition, this reception building has a nice Gift Shop. Now, if you really want to see the entire Q E 2 it appears that the ship’s tour would be your answer. Also, between the reception building and the ship are two of the QE 2 large propellers. Very impressive… One way or another simply to see the Queen Elizabeth 2 is a very wonderful experience.

At first we are surprised in our room they gave us a good quality type of room and for the Breakfast in LIDO Restaurant they're really accomodate us especially Ms. Ruth. The house keeping and all receptionist Ms. Megan and Ms. Mary they are all politely and friendly to the guest.
