Radisson Resort Plaza Skiathos

I would describe this hotel as ‘dysfunctional’. Hotel staff were certainly not the friendliest and there was rarely a smile or good morning Breakfast was a joke with always something missing. ie clean cups or plates or broken coffee machine The hot breakfast selection was always cold . Really not good The hotel lacked atmosphere and in places was scruffy ie a torn lounge chair by the pool I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning

Good location for the kanapista beach, water taxi etc. hotel clean, staff were lovely worked very hard.. except the management.. issues: We booked 2 rooms both exactly the same via easyJet holidays. One was a ground floor facing the pool with terrace, the other second floor around the back.. asked to move.. told fully booked which was not true… other guests had similar issues. Drinks prices very high.. Prosecco 12€ one glass small can of coke 5€. Breakfast was chaos, coffee machine stopped working everyday, toasters stopped working everyday. Busy and no space. Rooms, no water left if rooms each day, just one small bottle on arrival, towels and bedding changed one the whole week. TV had one channel BBC News in English which came on and off as it fancied. This hotel could be good bad sadly at the moment the emphasis needs to switch from what suits management to what is best for the customer.

I want to start by saying this was our second stay. Last year we stayed and decided to return. When booking a resort I have to consider my health. I have a serious auto immune disease and need to be as preventative as possible. One of the things that causes problems is mould spores. Previously I read a review that said some of the rooms that back onto the rock edge have damp issues so last year I reached out and was given a room that was perfect. This year I reached out again and ask to make sure we didn’t have a room that could have any damp issues. We also paid extra for a room with sea view. So imagine how disappointed I was when we were given exactly the room I said not to have. 107. I went back to the desk and was told the resort was doubled and that was the only room and they couldn’t move me. I spoke to a lovely lady who said she remembered my request and had put my request through she also said later in the week that could have easily moved me but just didn’t. I wasn’t the only one I also came across a lady who spent 3 nights with the fire alarm/exit sign flashing constantly when she asked for it to be mended she was told someone would have to come from Athens so would take a few days!!! On top of that we constantly heard staff talking about how they were working double shifts and hadn’t been paid, in fact they were planning to walk out today. So all in all not the best stay because this resort is a perfect location if you don’t mind a little hilly walk to the bus stop. One more thing ALL sun beds were taken by 7/8am every morning. Unfortunately we will not be going back. The photos are of the mould all under the bed

Staff were very helpful Hotel is situated 600 km from the nearest bus stop which is reached by a steep climb. Same applies from bus stop back to the hotel. Car parking is limited to a small number of roadside spaces in front of the hotel wall. Room was very basic with limited space for clothing. Cheap looking bed side shelves and small half-round table top are of little use. Could be improved by the addition of a shelf above the hanging rail, small bedside drawer to store minor items and small chest of drawers in place of table top. Ratio of sunbeds to number of rooms is very low. Use of beanbags is a poor substitute for sunbeds. Grit flooring under sunbeds is unusual, uncomfortable and in impractical. There is potential for improvement which would also increase sunbed availability. Insufficient hanging space for towels. The clothes drier on the terrace is so small to be of little to no use. Used the dining room once for an evening meal. Bit surprised to be served sea bass without accompanying veg. Overall did not live up to expectation.

Lovely hotel in fantastic location. We had a sea view. It was beautiful. However. This hotel is minimalistic. It has no comfort factor whatsoever. It focuses on look rather than comfort. Which is a shame. We thought paying a bit extra it would be worth it. But this was not the case. Silly sofas that move when you sit on them with no back support. Metal chairs with no cushions. Bedside tables not suitable for purpose. Breakfast time is organised chaos. Lovely pool. Lovely view. Nice food. And fantastic staff. Staff get the four stars. Everyone was lovely. Apart from the beach taverna to dine, It’s basically the water taxi or taxis to get anywhere even up to the main road. It has a gorgeous beach that gets populated with day visitors.
