This hotel is in a prime location overlooking Olhão marina and the stunning scenery of the Formosa Estuary Natural Park. A short boat ride away we find the beautiful unspoiled beaches on the barrier islands of the estuary. Had a fab stay here for 4 nights - the staff were very friendly and helpful with great service. The breakfast had plenty of variety for everyone from fruit & cold options to cooked choices. The indoor pool was lovely and the outdoor pool area relaxing although didn’t try outdoor pool as not heated. Olhao is an interesting place to wander with some great little restaurants just off the Main Street - very good local food and value. Would recommend the ferry trip to Culatra and a 20 minute walk takes you to other side of island with a fantastic beach and little local beach bar.

Fantastic Everything!

Stayed there for 2 nights last week in a 2nd floor marina view room and everything about the property was wonderful. Hotel and rooms were clean, breakfast was great with plenty of options, parking right out in front of the hotel was secure, free and plentiful - and the balcony and view from our room along with table and chairs was very nice. This hotel is upscale but with a laid-back vibe. The town of Ohlao is nice to spend a couple days in, cute little village with markets and fun to walk the narrow pretty streets. I highly recommend this hotel!

Another great holiday

My husband had another lovely holiday in the Real Marina Hotel. As usual the room was very clean and comfortable, all the staff - reception, restaurant and cleaning, were very efficient and helpful. Also the hotel seemed to have a little more good atmosphere in the main reception and surrounding area because the bar had re-opened there. Overall a great holiday and hope to be back again soon. Pleasant stay overall, but some updates needed

I had an overall pleasant stay at this hotel. The location was very convenient and well situated and this was good value for money. One of the highlights for me was the indoor pool and spa area in winter. It was great to have those facilities available and they were well maintained, although the pool water could have been a bit warmer for extra comfort. The rooms themselves were spacious and clean, with a lovely bathroom. However, the hotel does feel like it could benefit from some updating in certain areas. One issue during my stay was the heating and air conditioning unit (the in-room climate control system). It was quite loud so I couldn't have it on while sleeping. I also had to call maintenance to switch it from air conditioning to heating mode as it was quite chilly this time of the year at night. The maintenance team were quick to respond and very helpful, which I really appreciated. That said, it would be more convenient if guests were able to control this themselves, especially outside of summer. My room was also quite cold on arrival because it had been set to air conditioning beforehand. Perhaps the hotel could consider asking guests before the arrival how they would like their unit to be set up. Another small downside was that the double rooms consist of two single beds pushed together rather than a proper double bed, which can be uncomfortable due to the noticeable gap in the middle. The toilet would continue dripping unless the flush was pressed very firmly, and the sink tap required pulling quite hard to fully stop the water. These are small issues, but addressing them would improve the overall comfort and experience. Breakfast offered a decent range of options overall, but unfortunately the fruit and vegetables were not of the best quality, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the staff throughout my stay were genuinely lovely and very helpful, which made a real difference and I enjoyed my time at the hotel.
